Pitman arm replacement

2002 Silverado 1500HD LT 6.0L
Hey does anyone know the part number and have any recommendations on a good place to get good parts for cheap. Any input on that or the removal and replacement process, things to look out for, bolt sizes, ect. would be useful knowledge too but not really a issue. Thanks in advance!

rockauto + their 5% discount code is generally pretty good.  You can sometimes find a better deal on specific parts on ebay/amazon as well.

 

Make sure you get the pitman arm with the right number of keyways (not the right term, but can't think of it right now), as the 1500 version has a different number than the 2500/3500 one.

I believe it's either a 3 or 4 groove spline depending on the truck. I wouldn't skimp on quality for a pitman arm. Probably going to around $80-100 for a really nice one.

 

Youtube replacement video's and you will likely need a pitman arm puller to get it off.
