Active shutter installation?

Hit a deer. Trucks been in the shop forever now. They’re waiting on new shutters. Can the truck run and be put together without these then installed later?

The 2014 to 2016's didn't even have them installed.  The only difference I see is the truck warms up faster when it's cold out.

The only thing that may happen is it runs a little cooler.

Read somewhere on here you’ll get a CEL with them missing/ unplugged. Not sure if true. Otherwise the truck will function fine, my 19 doesn’t even have them.

Yes, SES light will be on. Driveable but if it sets other codes you will not know. Ok for a short time.

this is on my list of mods to do , when i can find a shop capable of programming it into the truck's puter. IMO this is a must have if you run a cold summer thermostat and are too lazy to swap back to the hotter factory stat in winter..

If the motor itself for the shutters is good just plug the motor in for now no CEL will happen.
