New headlights,  billet grill...night view

24648.jpeg

How far down did you have to take apart the front end for the headlight swap? Was it just the grill and lights that had to be removed or was there fender/bumper involvement? Hoping to do the swap this upcoming weekend. Also where did you mount the load resistors for the gen5DIY harness?

Thanks!!

Besides the grill the fender wings need to come off to get the headlights out.  For the load resistors there's holes in the fender behind the light that i used with small bolts. They are in there just enough that u can only see them if your really looking for them.

Just take your time, the front of the trucks alot of plastic clips and a few bolts.  Do make sure your lights work before putting it all back together.

Bad ass truck man. I’m going to do that headlight conversion. I believe they have been able to keep the custom grill using the Lt/Ltz headlights.

Thankyou.

Not 100% on the grill but it would take mods or spacers etc. They aren't shaped the same on the ends. The custom doesn't have the drl like the lt/ltz.

Ebay, actually.  From a place in Florida, they order em and they come right from California. Sent right from factory reproductions.

The readylift just didnt see like it was enough after seeing the 3-3.5 lifts. I purchased a stage 1 icon lift with the coilovers set at 3 inch and a rear 1.5 block with shocks. Plus I used a set of rough country control arms.20191214_121117.thumb.jpg.9e58abd32b354a0f9b308dc2eeed7f05.jpg20191215_113452.thumb.jpg.592e354d8fa48a889f6eba0af7d14338.jpg20191215_131919.thumb.jpg.ce284d290f3772f0c3cad20b0abccf84.jpg

Did you get the rear blocks as part of the kit or separate? Looking for somewhere that just sells the rear blocks standalone

Are you happy with the sidesteps? They look awesome. Assume it was an easy install?

Did you do the mirrors and handles yourself? Have watched a bunch of videos on both and it looks a little risky as to whether you come out okay doing them yourself

Yea they are very nice , super easy to do. Direct bolt on,  threaded holes are ready in the cab.
