The stock 6L80e will handle 500-600hp easy.

He says he wants this to be all motor, no way in hell he even comes close to touching that.

Educate yourself on the direct injected engines. You'll find that a few of the things you talked about are not really needed for a 5.3 all motor setup on pump gas.

You have a 5500lb truck, an all motor build is a bad idea. Any respectable NA build will have shit for bottom end torque and you’ll ruin the truck.

not sure why you mentioned turbo’s also

if you don’t know what all motor means, thats ok too.

C'mon guy, we are not your parents.

Pull up your ****ing pants and do some leg work on your own. Just google this stuff because I take you've never modded a vehicle before.

There are hundreds of vendors out there for buying stuff. You just need to know exactly what you want and your budget. If you wanna blow $10,000 like it's going outta style, call up summit racing or something because they will gladly sell you anything you want even if it will make the vehicle worse off.

Hey Buddy,

Nice truck! Looks super clean. Take all the comments with a grain of salt.

So straight NA! I like it. So you're going to need a few things. Top end and bottom end upgrades.

TOP END:

I'd start with a Ported Cylinder head/camshaft package W/ AFM,DOD Delete.

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5443-texas-speed-performance-gen-5-lt1-lt4-l83-l86-dod-delete-kit.aspx

Get yourself a BIG intake manifold and throttle body.

https://gwatneyperformance.com/product/msd-atomic-airforce-lt1-intake-manifold-2700/. (get ported if you can afford the extra cash)

CAI

https://afepower.com/afe-power-54-74104-momentum-gt-pro-5r-cold-air-intake-system

BOTTOM END:

If you're seeking more than 600 wheel you will need to beef up the rods/pistons/bearings.

https://gwatneyperformance.com/product/gpi-complete-gen-5-l83-5-3l-drop-in-piston-connecting-rod-package-14-19-silverado-sierra-tahoe-yukon/#configuration

FUEL:

High side fuel pump, middle fuel pipe and injectors.

Low Side pump if you can stomach the cost.

https://goturbo.net/arm-465fp-ext-armageddon-465lph-lift-pump-2014-2018-extended-double-cab-chevy-silverado-gmc-sierra

Meth Kit to get you over the hump.

EXHAUST:

If you live in a state with emissions testing.

https://afepower.com/afe-power-48-44003-twisted-steel-headers

If you're not in a state that requires emission:

http://arh.lmperformance.com/shop.asp?brand=american-racing-headers&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIn4Kdmdre5gIVx8DACh1-OwkhEAAYASAAEgL-v_D_BwE

This should get you started. OH, you could always just get a Whipple with a tune and get 560 wheel on your own for $6.5K The former list will cost you 15k+ parts maybe $17k parts/labor.

Happy trails.

Cam, I was under the impression that gm put the 6l90 in the HDs because the 6l80 was inadequate.

There's no replacement for displacement man.  Most hi-power mods to a naturally aspirated motor come at the expense of street manners.  For all the money you spend to coax another 100 horsepower out of the 5.3, you could have just gone with a 6.2 or larger motor.

The 6L80 has torque and GVW ratings to last a certain number of miles.  The 6L90 was introduced for those applications requiring even more GVW and torque over its projected lifespan.

I failed to mention camshafts. Texas speed has 4 different camshafts. SV. Stage 1,2,3. Brian Tooley has a few, Gwatney some etc. these will all require a higher stall torque converter. I’d recommend going 3000 stall since you want big power out of that block therefore a big cam. CircleD has some good stuff.

These trucks are to new and not enough info about reliable parts so yes I'm asking for opinions and sets ups people do and dont like ect. And all .motor will wreck a 5500 lb truck how? I come from the custom frame and suspension world not modifying engines thanks keyboard warriors

FOR YOU INFO  therea only 1 local guy boosted pushing 1000 hp with a 16 gmc . So how the **** is 1 guy gunna have all the info if I listen to everything he has we would have the same build.......

another thing I'd like to know is what also needs to be switched I know stock cats need to be replaced with high flow . What other random crap like that needs to be considered
