Good Luck GM!  This could be a grand slam if it looks good, has range of 300+ and has good offload chops. Like it or not people , Electric is slowly taking over . This could be FIRST Off road based SUV that comes in electric .

The Car and Driver article indicates it's a "Pick-up Truck."  Based on that I wonder it will actually be an SUV.

This may correspond with the announcement of making an electric truck at the Hamtramck plant in 2022.  After seeing the Tesla trying to tow on TFL truck, I can't see it happening... maybe ever.

0-60 in 3 seconds would be a riot in a pickup truck. Don’t think I could ever get over my “range anxiety“ but if I did, it would be because of that. ?

I have a reservation for a Cybertruck but it's trivial dollars and refundable. Assuming the Hummer has a 4WD version with 400 mile range and 250 KW charging I'd spend $60K on it. Won't be 1000 hp but maybe only 600, LOL.

No one needs a 1000hp but I sure as hell want it..... ?

Yeah me too but there's this $ thing. I have a Bolt and it feels faster than it really is because the motor has a flat torque curve from 0 rpm to max and no gear shifting. Electric truck with a sub 5 sec 0-60 will feel like a rocket sled to the driver.

I'm all for the r&d these folks are doing on these electric trucks. Hopefully it'll lead to some good competition and better products for us.

11,500 lb-ft of torque!

Torque, meanwhile, will come in at 11,500 lb-ft, GMC says. [Edit: it’s worth noting that the assumption is that this is torque at the axle, so not a direct comparison with the figures that most automakers are claiming.]
