So I noticed my dealer installed options included vinyl floor mats.  I looked back through my window sticker and build sheet and vinyl floor mats are listed as being installed from the factory.  The dealer called me today after I asked them about it saying I was mistaken and the vehicle did not come with mats.  Who has a RST Z71 thta came with mats not added by the dealer? It's only around $200, but I'm not paying twice for something.

If your window sticker & build sheet says they’re included, they’re included, and your dealer is the one who is mistaken.

 

Also, just beware, the dealer will cut your rear mat to accommodate the storage bin (if you have one). If you don’t want it cut, make sure you explicitly tell them not to.

Came standard on my RST and I didn't pay additional. Build sheet shows B32 and B33 front and rear floor mats. Factory mats (and front license plate mounting bracket) are not preinstalled at the factory. They are usually packed in plastic stored in the trunk or somewhere in the vehicle and placed by the dealer at time of prep (so they don't get marred on a test ride)

 

Maroney sticker does not list mats either on standard options nor as a dealer installed option. Maybe by "dealer installation" they charge $200. for taking the factory provided mats out of the plastic bag and placing them on the carpet.

Or it is very possible the truck came with mats from the factory but the dealer added different mats and is charging for those. An “upgrade” if you will. In that case you should get both sets of mats. I see this pretty regular at dealer who do add ons.

I'd really push the dealer on this one.  The one thing I dislike the most when buying in a new vehicle is the added charges.  The prospect of driving home a new vehicle is exploited to the max, imo.  Even after you've negotiated a price, they put you through the gauntlet of luring additional charges before you get the keys!  Let us know your progress!

They are on my window sticker and they weren’t installed when I test drove the truck. (In plastic in the back seat) Dealer put them in during detail and didn’t charge anything for it.

mine came with mats from factory.....though I have replaced it with complete weatherguard kit (ones that cover the whole floor

 

the dealer is lying, maybe they took them out and gave em to someone else either way its their problem not yours.....if it says they came with them than they have to supply them, plain and simple....

yes mine were in a plastic bag as well, they took his out and gave them to another vehicle that caught the same issue before customer signed paperwork I will almost bet

 

before signing they will bend over backwards, after you sign its "oh well"

I didn't pay for any of dealer add ons, and then the finance guy tries to get more $$$ from you....

 

they had nitrogen in tires....price $99

plastic film door/handle edge strips.....price $399

 

it cost them maybe $10 and they want $500, lol.....kiss my ass, take it off, give it to me or forget the deal......luckily my sales guy said don't worry about it

Don't know if there have been changes, but currently the Order guide shows there are factory standard floormats that get deleted if LPO matts are ordered. 

 

On RST as 'standard'

B32    Floor mats, rubberized vinyl, front
 - Deleted when LPO floor liners are ordered. 

B33    Floor mats, rubberized-vinyl rear
 - Deleted when LPO floor liners are ordered. 

 

Available:

AAK         LPO, All-weather floor liners, 1st and 2nd rows (includes Z71 logo on front mats), [Replaces factory floor mats]

RIA         LPO, All-weather floor liners, 1st and 2nd rows on Crew Cab and Double Cab, 1st row only on Regular Cab, (includes Chevrolet Bowtie logo), [Replaces factory floor mats]

 

(And of course some dealer also handle WeatherTech or Husky or...)

 

 

First step might be determining if it now has 'mats' or 'liners'.

Then if there should be an extra charge or not.

yeah how can any truck not come with floor mats?.....pretty standard I thought, even my 05 Toyota had them

OP has B32, B33 listed. Should have  been in truck. Std rubber/vinyl mats.

      You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.

      2026 6.6 L5P oil cooler leaking oil at 4,000 miles

      New to diesel trucks. I happened to find my oil cooler leaking oil externally with only 4,000 miles on the truck. I didn’t realize this was an issue until I started researching it. Dealer is going to replace it under warranty but I’m wondering if there’s anything GM is working on to fix this issue. I’ve heard the oil filter used is the same as they use on their V6 motors and that’s what is causing the problems. Should I switch to a bigger filter or keep using the OEM recommended?

      So, GMCustomerService:  Judging by the Update History pictured above, is this truck missing any updates that it actually needs. If it's just for the infotainment system, the radio is working fine and no trouble with SeriusXM. and Android Auto is working fine wirelessly with my phone. Some months ago, an update notice was sent to my truck. I approved the update and it finished saying that the update was successful, but it seems that whatever that update was, it didn't actually get installed - at least not if I'm to go by the Update History shown above.   So, again, are there any updates that this truck really should have? I've checked with my dealer but they're reluctant or commit to anything and if I want them to check, they require a $200.00 fee just to check it out and then I'd have to pay for the actual update(s).    Ignorance is bliss, and if none of the updates goes to fixing any mechanical discrepancies, I'll just leave things as is.
