Looking to possibly get a programmer for my truck

Looking for suggestions since I am new to this 5.3L world

Mods:
Cold air intake
Ported intake manifold
Ported throttle body
Range AFM disabler

Soon to have an exhaust

No handheld programmer can accurately do the changes required for the mods you have done. It is impossible for those canned tunes to predict the airflow and fueling requirements for an engine that now has ported parts that flow more air at any given time compared to stock.

It would be okay if the intake and throttle body were stock but that is not the case with yours.

I would suggest a custom tune from somewhere or buy tuning software yourself and learn to do it. If you want to learn it, it will be tough if you've never done anything like this before. The 2014+ GM computers are the most advanced and complex computers they have made so far with the V8's.

I've been using HP Tuners myself since 2012 and this is what I suggest that.

We would be happy to help with tuning. We would tune your vehicle via our AutoCal, the hardware is yours to keep, and it will allow us to see your specific vehicle data, and provide the custom tunes via email. Give us a call 877-809-4070, if you have any questions.

+1 for Blackbear, used them before and will again when closer to warranty expiration.  They are topnotch and their tune will def be noticeable!!

EFi live, this is what black-bear uses, so if you just want a plug and play tune you can buy from them.

, self tuning i suggest HPtuners

I'm not sure how much Fuel enrichment Blackbear can legally do and not violate EPA emmisions, thus incurring heavy fines from the Feds,  but if it's offroad use your cool.. but i am almost always wrong.
