For example, going to stage 2 testing straight after stage 1, instead of spending a bunch of time evaluating the results of stage 1 to see if they should move on to stage 2 (but still doing the evaluation, and then stopping stage 2 if the evaluation is negative).  And starting production of the vaccine before the testing and approval is done, knowing that if the testing fails or the approval isn't given, they have to destroy the vaccine they've produced.  It's spending money to save time, but they aren't skipping the actual testing, and they have to go over the results of the testing at the end and get approval before they can being distributing the vaccine.

Someone said hydroxychloroquine isn’t effective. From all the reading and watching I’ve seen. It’s seems to be as effective as a flu shot, 30-50 percent according to the studies I’ve seen. Some posted here. The trick is when you take it and what combination. People get a flu shot every year. So for the people with an agenda, don’t take it.

The last one that came through was with the prior administration. Older people had herd immunity, it wasn’t new. It was scary at first. No lock downs not much was done. The young got herd immunity quickly it faded. The difference was who was president and who backed him. The news media. This is worse no doubt. But the hysteria is whipped up for obvious reasons.

Tell me, what part of Twitter told Trump about HCQ? Just wondering since it’s chocked full of lefties without medical degrees who have been actively removing anyone who advocates it’s use. Including yes, many many doctors. 
 

Interesting how so-called “non-political” people fall all over themselves whenever someone makes an (inaccurate) political statement about Trump.

Let’s not forget, China lied to us. The Who covered it up. Bill gates wants a vaccine. Dr fauci works for/with Bill Gates. Chinese app spies on us. Microsoft(Bill Gates) wants to buy said app. Bill Gates linked to Epstein. It’s all circular. Biden, pelosi, Kerry etc linked to China and Ukraine. List goes on. You could keep your blinders on.

All my southern covid dashboards are trending down. Just in time for my August trip East. Some rapidly so. Myrtle beach had a very good June. Not so since. The scuttlebutt from people I talk to in the area is. The northerners brought it down. Infected the area. Then blame Myrtle beach for sending it back north. Typical.

Funny how one little place on earth is pushing the world numbers quickly towards 20 million cases isn't it?

NY will drive the numbers back down. :) 

 

C'mon man that was funny. 

 

All the spinning make a guy dizzy and yet the numbers still climb. Guess BS has little effect on this virus. :crackup:

It’s seems strange that one of the most lock down states can’t seem to get their act together. Just by the shear numbers of people fleeing the state their numbers should be declining. The fact is the numbers are declining. But is true if there’s one positive case the positive cases rise. Some people just can’t handle good news. Just have to be negative downers. The truth is from now and for evermore there will be a rise in positive cases, that’s a fact.

We had two days in a row under 50k new “cases”...yesterday was slightly over...51k I think. Either way, July was around 60k per day so it looks like we are heading in the right direction in a general sense. Certainly hard to make a case to lockdown even further under these conditions...we see how well that method works anyway. 


Hospitalizations continue to drop, and in my opinion that’s the most reliable and important statistic. The rest is noise. As Karnut says, only one direction the positive test count can go.

 

“As deaths continue to rise” is another one. We could get to the point where one person a week dies of (or with) Covid-19 50 years from now and that statement would technically be accurate.

They have been talking locally about the numbers count in Ca for a few days now, the count has been frozen until they can get it right.

 

As for the checkpoints in NYC, we mentioned this a number of pages back.  If this checkpoint is on a road or major highway, this will be very manpower intensive if a 24/7 operation.  If not 24/7, why do it?

It’s posturing, that’s why. Crime is becoming a big problem in the city...so let’s divert resources into something that’s not a problem? 


Then again, it may not take many resources to monitor people going into NYC...can’t imagine many people are interested in that trip.

It’s absolutely impossible to have check points for this. It would be useless. Have you ever been on a road in nyc and not seen an out of state plate? Lived in worked all my life in ny. It can’t happen. And can’t is usually not in my vocabulary.

      No Software Updates - Old Build

      Hi all - my current truck is a 2022.5 1500 High Country 3.0. I bought the truck used last year. After doing some digging, I noticed that my truck's software is stuck on the original build from 2022. I have no available software updates. I talked to my dealer about this and they recommended not trying to force an update since the 36,000 mile warranty is expired. This is a big bummer since there have been many major releases since that have fixed small issues and improved speed/usability.   For reference, the current software build number is: full_gminfo37_gb-user 10 W158E-W164.4.2-QIH22B-563.3 158 release-keys Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I just forget about it and move on, or try a different dealer?

      Using zip ties but 2-3 they snap due to sharp edges. Just using a shoestring. Last longer. 🤣

      I ordered the Snap On...waiting for it to come in later this week or early next week.   New front cover, new crank seal and new balancer are on. Water pump, pulley, fan, hoses, and plastics reinstalled. I can move forward knowing all my timing marks are dead on and the front engine is hopefully sealed better than it was. Take 2 with the water pump...trying high temp thread sealer on the lower bolts.   Rebuilt injector and new-new regulator is in, it looks like new. Top intake reassembled and all the bits are reconnected and snugged down.   Thinking about knock sensors again, I located both of mine and, there's your problem, Francis... The driver's side one is broke, plastic is bashed in, part of the wire is bare, and it appears to have been damaged like that for a long time. I saw the wire but didn't think anything of it. The knock sensor might not be my pulled timing issue, but it sure looks suspect. It must still be conducting, otherwise I'd expect a CEL. But perhaps with its sacred crystal inside exposed, jilted and dirty, maybe it's sending mixed signals. So I'm waiting for one of those and a new pigtail to come in. Pass side sensor looks good, except for the spark plug wire resting on it (!). The plug wires are healthy so it shouldn't be causing an issue, but I separated them and added zip ties to nearby looms to keep everything well apart.   So, I'm down to installing a knock sensor AND, oh, replacing the exhaust and cat. I actually think that's going to be fairly easy, it's all bolt-together, all new stuff from Walker is laid out on the shop floor ready to go. Hopefully have this thing on the road again for the weekend.   My luck? It will still be leaking oil, coolant, pulled timing, intermittent CEL for running rich, or it probably won't run at all -- because that's how this project has gone.   I've never worked on a vehicle so ...hurt? ...cursed? in my life. Everything has been effed with SO HARD, but I think...knock on wood...I've managed to undo all the backyard stuff and we're almost reset back to "just" an 80k mile, 30 year old Blazer.
