I haven't taken a stance in this thread on the politics or even the mask vs. non-mask argument in regard to Covid-19, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, I did learn this morning that an elementary and HS classmate of mine passed away earlier this week in a Portland, Or. hospital of Covid-19 complications. How many in my HS graduating class you might ask? 18 as in Eighteen total in the small eastern Washington farming community school that I attended. No I'm not going to draw any kind of statistical analysis from such a small sample, but still it has hit close to home and got my attention and raised my awareness level.

Here's some numbers.

I'm in Minnesota.

We have about 5.75 million population.

Around 5-6 deaths a day for last 6-8 weeks .

That's  1 millionth of the population each day.

We are stopping the world for this?

More people  die from a heart attack each day and people think nothing of it.?

They should outlaw big Macs and KFC then too.

Suicide, drugs, mental health of this country is affected much more than and because of covid. How about medical malpractice? I’m ale a look at that. But we are supposed to follow certain “experts” as godly.

So just found out no lights for 9/11 due to covid. Are you f*cking kidding me? This one hits home. What happened to Never Forget? It’s one to “protest” but a small group to handle lights is wayyy to dangerous? The dems in less than six months have done soo much destruction to our country it’s disgusting and disturbing. I’ve had it

Just had this discussion the other day. You can be mask shamed but try shaming someone for their health choices [emoji2361] now you’re the bad guy

I'm sorry for your loss.  No need to take a political stance or argue about masks.  Do what you know will help to reduce the spread of this virus.  The most effective are basic and common sense. Physical distance, protection and frequent hand washing!

I’ve been stopping at truck stops on my trip East. Mostly loves. In Florida we stop at a chick fila. Their lobby was open. What a surprise. Like usual their drive through was way back there. My wife has the app. We walked in and it was ready. Myrtle Beach appears less than half full, amazing. Mostly every where mask wearers. If that the case every where along with the amount of hand sanitizer I’ve seen. The bug should be gone, right? Right!!!

Wrong.  Wearing a mask and washing your hands frequently have not been presented as being a perfect solution.  And then there is the 1/3rd of the population making a point of spitting on other people in the name of freedom...

That requires a echo.

What’s wrong with freedom? You give that up they take more. It’s there choice not yours. You’re free to stay inside or wear a mask and eyeshielding.

So dramatic...spitting on people eh? So for the past 250 years before mask mandates, it was commonplace for everyone here to openly spit on each other? Really? Seems terrible. It’s a wonder anyone is still alive. We should mandate them forever.

    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
