Satellite Connection

2020 Sierra SLT. When I start my truck there is no volume on my satellite radio. I must change stations before I get any sound. Just started last few weeks. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Probably has to do with the free month of programming until May 31st. Likely requires changing channels to sign in the radio code so they can identify free users to blast out crap literature offering a 6 month bargain rate for new customers.

Same here, mine started about a month ago. Only on xm though. Apple car works fine and also regular FM radio. I have seen several face book posts about the same issue so waiting on a software fix I am sure? Weird thing is when in town once I change channels works fine till I shut off the truck. I have pulled my boat twice now an hour out to town on rough roads and can get maybe 5 minutes before the volume goes out and I have to change channels to get it back. Does not make sense to me.by the way my trial period is up and I do subscribe to xm. ( at a cheap rate!!).

Yeap... I have a 2020 3500 AT4 and the Sat radio started doing exactly the same thing. Started about 2 weeks ago. Only on XM and I have full XM paid up membership. Also whilst driving and listening to one channel after awhile it goes silent...until I switch to another channel and then back to the previous then all ok ...for a little while ...then same again...

My 2020 TrailBoss was doing the same thing, but about 2 weeks ago fixed itself and hasn’t done it since. I agree that it was really annoying.

I shut the truck off a an hour and when I started it back up the volume was working. It got to reset the system. But this is very annoying

It's a known problem issued with the last siriusxm update. They are aware of it and it will be fixed in the next OTA update issued by siriusxm. For now you just change the station to resolve it. My dealer spoke to siriusxm a couple of days ago about it.

Wonder if the update has been issued? As of yesterday everything was back to normal with mine! After about a month of issues it works right again! Hope it holds and am crossing my fingers!!

Haven't used the truck for a few days now... will have to give it a shot and see if the problem has been fixed..

Mine was also randomly loosing sound for about the past month and would have to change channels to get it back, started working normally about three days ago, not sure why.
