What kind of dog do you have, or was it just a rouge hair that attached itself to your truck?

I have a GSP but his hair is too short for that. My neighbor has an afgan hound and they're always playing with each other around the truck so I'm assuming it was her!

By the length, thinking you are correct. Probably brushed up against and lodged the hair in the trim.
