It’s something with your particular phone or setup. Mine works seemlessly. It’s actually a very nice system with very good voice recognition if you set the setting to more voice analysis.

its not my phone as it works with out trucks and vehicles fine...

plus if i unpair it the button still doenst work.

the truck should promt "say a command" or something along those lines when that button is pushed.

I have a 2020 LT Z71 and the backup camera is super crisp, even sharper than the one on my 17 Silverado. This is a long shot in the dark, but i wonder if there is some sort of protective film on the camera that the dealer missed?

I actually initially thought the same thing but unfortunately there wasnt anything over it.

So oddly enough using the backup camera a little more its actually gotten better. Someone mentioned there's acted different if they shifted into reverse quickly vs slower. But yeah the day time function seems actually better now.

The night time was not good though. Its almost like the sensor or however it senses that its night time mode and changes how it views is off. To me it seems like the camera isnt sensing that its even night time

UPDATE-

PUSH TO TALK BUTTON-

Went to the dealer today. The guy actually was really nice and helpful. I was waiting for my loaner and he came over to me and said that my phone (Note 10+ ) is not listed on the bluetooth capability list... so he said with that chevy cant guarantee my phone to function completely.

He had the s9+ and hooked his up it worked fine. So we unpaired mine and redid it and it appears to work now. Before the screen only said incoming calls not outgoing but now it says both ?‍♂️ seems to work good now. Gonna see how it goes...

Seems a bit ridiculous that it wouldn't have current phones on the list.

REVERSE CAMERA

He said that everyone is complaining of the camera being grainy. He said the camera uses the reverse lights to help see. No fixes from chevy yet.

My old truck i had a 40" LED Light bar hooked to my reverse lights. Im gonna play around this week and see if i add more light of it helps the camera or not.

I noticed the camera was better under the driveway spot lights so im curious to see

Just replace the backup bulbs in your taillights to something brighter... I did this in my Colorado and it helped

These cheap camera's always have poor low-light capability.  The cheaper the camera, the worse it is.  This is why they always talk about low-light performance on new phones  Adding better lighting will ALWAYS help.

I never suspected you hadn’t tried uninstalling your phone from the truck. That’s always step #1 if you have pairing issues.

Yeah never thought id need to since it was a brand new truck and did it the first time i paired it -_-

Im actually gonna call GM Support this week. I had to back a single place jetski trailer into a dock yesterday and jt was a disaster. I couldn't see it in my mirrors so tried to use camera to tell how close in i was and it was so grainy it was an ordeal to get it in.

I wonder how much to upgrade to HD.

Do you have s pic pf your camera?
