Hi -  new to the boards, and 1st time GMC owner. Just picked up a 2020 Sierra Denali Ultimate. The 22s aren’t really my thing so planning to put some 20s with AT tires on it. Curious if there is a market for Denali 22” wheels with factory spec Alenza tires on them, and what I might expect to get for them. Also mods - pls let me know if this is the wrong spot to post. I didn’t see a “for sale” thread section, thanks!

I actually picked up the rig from Kirkland GMC, they did a dealer trade to grab it from Puyallup. Overall was satisfied with Kirkland.

Have you spoke with their parts department to see if they have take offs?

Always a chance they have something you might like in a 20" wheel.

I'm in the same boat. Just ordered new wheels and will be looking to sell the OEM's.

I got $1000 for mine. I put AT4 20s on it

Did you sell locally? Here on the forums? Elsewhere? $1000 seems a bit low to me, but I could be wrong. There are sets going for over $2k I’m on eBay, some even listed as high as $3k for new.

I did sell locally, i was surprised I couldn't get more, didn't have much interest in them either, they had 100 miles on them and included the sensors and everything

Seems most of the local take-offs run about $800-1,000 for the 18’s, $1,000-1,200 for the 20’s, and $1,200-1,500 for the 22’s.

Nice color on that Ultimate. It looks like you got the diesel? I got the 6.2 myself.

Anyway, as far as the wheels/tires, some people buy new wheels that are 22" and put their tires on them, then sell the wheels. The wheels prices alone may be in the $1000-ish range I would expect.

Technically, they're used wheels. Even though they're new take-offs.

The wheel and tire choices are almost endless for our trucks. Which is good in one way, but bad in another. It's very much like the heavy discounting that GM just went through to move inventory off the dealer lots. Trade-in values on the other end are likely to suffer badly once inventory levels are up again. The factory tires/wheels are fancy and nice, however, many people are just like you. They don't want them on their truck, they want something else. They want a better or unique design, etc.

The market will let you know. If you put them up for sale and they sit for 3 or 4 months, then the price is likely too high. If you get 40 calls in the first 10 minutes, you probably are too low.  The tires and wheels bought new, without the lugs/caps are around $3600 give or take. IIRC, around 600 per wheel and 300 per tire. That's brand spanking new. Again, you have technically "used" wheels/tires even though they probably still have the color stripes on the treads.

And when it comes to used parts, don't look so much at sale ads, but what people are actually paying. That's the only thing that really counts. What people are actually paying for. Ad prices really don't mean too much.
