Does anyone know when Chevrolet stopped making the 8FT Bed for the Quad Cab model on the 1500 trucks?  I know they still have them for the Single Cab, and on the 2500HDs Crew & Quad Cabs, but just curious any insights on why they don't offer them for the 1500 Quad Cab.  I see very many 1990s early 2000s Quad Cab 1500 series trucks with the 8FT Bed, and under the belief they were popular or at least that some healthy demand exists.  It would be my first choice if they had them....

Silverado 1500 Extended Cab Long Bed

I believe the NNBS body style is when it stopped, so 2012-2013.

I still see a few around sometimes, kinda goofy looking when there is an 8 foot bed on a extended cab 1500.

GMT-900 was the end of that road and I’m always shocked when I see one in person. Extremely rare, not a good seller.

And I agree, somewhat goofy looking. The HD wears that look a lot better if you can find a place to park.

Just not where the market is anymore.

Yeah, I like em, alot.  Just seems more proportional to my eye.   My 2500HD had an 8FT Bed, and I kinda got used to it.  When I purchased this new 2019 TB, I was surprised to learn it wasn't even an option anymore.

i guess they dont sell them but i personally know quite a few who would like dbl cab 8ft 1500.....they need the space but not necessarily payload of 2500....

The long beds are too hard to drive ?  People live in cities and they don't like the 5% more effort it takes.  Even on the 2500s 8ft beds are rare to see here in Orlando area.  Probably why I'll be getting another dually when it's time to get a new truck, 8ft bed is the only option with a dually from GM ?  GM produces what they think people want or what they can sucker people into buying.  There aren't enough of us that want 8ft beds anymore for our opinions/wants to be financially relevant to them.

Long beds are for working guys.
Here is my 07 LTZ 8 ft bed. 2" level and 2" lift in rear. Bought it new on Christmas Eve 2007. Leftover nobody wanted. I stole it for $27,000. $13,500 off sticker. That was unheard of back then.
I hauled my tools around in that one for 5 years. That was one of the best trucks out of the sixteen Chevy's I've owned.5ed5f2eab761baa81f55fb359d581111.jpgd137de7412babfdfd4dffa0dc5a70384.jpg
