My Multipro mistake

Picked up a few things today and it was also the first time I lower the upper gate since I added the red shackle tow hook and of course it sticks out just enough to put a dent in the gate between the handle and upper plastic trim.

 

Has anyone made a small dent here before? I'm wondering if i took one of those black covers off if I could knock it out.

 

I never really sized up how close the gate gets to the hitch and now I wish i did as its real close.

I have not purchased this. I’ve only discovered it through research. I just picked up a 20 SIerra Denali and have been lurking in the forums the last few weeks.

Only problem is I can never use the upper gate then, I can only use a flush hitch cover and not a shackle which I liked

Yeah I didn’t like how it was attached with double sided tape. I’ve read some complain it doesn’t hold well.

I've popped off the black covers in the tailgate to snoop around and most of the area has 2 layers of sheet metal so you may be SOL

Looks nice!  I’ll be buying one.

Pop the plastic off and see if you can pull it out.  You wont know until you try and its a free fix if it works.  Good Luck!
