3 year, 45k mile warranty on SKF - one of the best warranties in the industry:  https://www.vsm.skf.com/us/en/product-assortment/automotive/wheel-end/x-tracker-hub-bearings

Yeah, everything GM uses is made in Thailand, Mexico, Vietnam, etc.. - everywhere but the USA.

I noticed that even the new GM diesel needs (special) oil. I certainly understand using good oil, I do. Amsoil. Have been since the 80s. Reading here people panicking because they can’t find the special oil. Otherwise smart people drinking the kool-aid. Special oil, Frankenstein engines oh-my. The Frankenstein engine works if you drive 55-60 MPH downhill with no wind. Pretty soon they’ll have special lanes on the highway for Frankenstein engine drivers. Trying to get the couple extra mpgs. I’ll be buzzing by in my car getting 30 mpg at 75 saying hey where’s the beef? One guy got excited when a 250K mile Frankenstein engine showed. The guy bought it used has no idea if anything was done to the engine. Reminds me of a Volvo hitting 1 million miles. They all do that don’t you know. I’m going to practice can kicking now. The more complex the powerplant the more issues that can go wrong.  People that move from old tech to these new powerplants think they can continue to treat their maintenance the same.  Problem is you can't.  The oil does more than just lubricate and cool.  It controls how VVT and AFM and stuff works.  Allow the inside of the engine to get dirty and not use the proper lubricant can and will cause issues.  Maybe not right away but in the long run.

I change the oil on a friends old Traverse.  It is the older model that has issues with cam phasers and timing chains before GM updated the 3.6.  They have loved the vehicle since they purchased it.  It just hit 211k miles.  That is pretty good for that 3.6.

This will sound convoluted but if GM is like this there will ALWAYS be a much better replacement part available.
