Auto dimming rear view and side mirrors

I have a 2020 Silverado 2500hd Ltz with auto dimming rear view and side mirrors. Does anyone else notice the outline in the mirrors that doesn’t dim? It’s a very small outline. I noticed it on mine and don’t know if that’s normal.

I'm assuming your truck has the trailering/tow mirrors since it's an HD? I've never noticed it on my 1500 with regular auto-dimming mirrors. But, its been a little while since I've driven in the dark. I'll have to check next time I'm out after sunset.

Normal. You can see the outline in daytime even.

Thanks for replying back. I think it’s more on the hd models with towing mirrors.

Interesting, I must not pay close enough attention.

It’s not super noticeable but there’s a faint line around the perimeter of the mirror. That edge isn’t dimmed at night. Kind of annoying.

i have auto dimming mirrors inside and out and cant really notice a difference from ones that dont...

Only my driver side outside mirror has auto dimming.  Right side is regular mirror.  And, of course, inside mirror is also auto dimming.
