iPhone 12 Max wont fit - too wide, Is there any mods for this?

So after 3 years I upgraded from the iphone X to the 12 Max and it wont fit in the center console on the wireless charging pad on the center console.  The phone is too wide, even with out of the case.  Has anyone performed a mod or know of a mod that can be done to remedy this?

Trade it for a 2021 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade.

No...2021 SUVs have a much larger charging pad...with a new phone, comes a new truck...

Absolutely not.  Entirely different.  2021 models also do WIRELESS Android Auto/Apple Car Play.

Your best bet is to wire up an aftermarket wireless charger and install it over the existing wireless charger, plug in your phone, or install the wireless charger somewhere else on or in the center console.

I have the 12 Pro (not max) and it barely fits. Went with the regular size basically for this reason. If it's REALLY close, like milimeters, you might be able to trim the rubber sides a tiny amount with an xacto knife. Otherwise, you could look into some sort of raised adapter.

Old post, but i actually have a solution....

 

Get an Apple official battery case.  The back is narrower and will allow the phone to fit on the charging bad.  Works for me no problems.

Nevvermind183 can you share which exact case you have? I have a 2016 Tahoe (with 2018-2020 upgraded wireless charger) and just upgraded to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’m looking for a solution to this, as well.
