I am going to go ahead and order a set since they have $100 off right now.  Was looking for some opinions on the regular steps vs. the Extreme steps that have 2 motors per side vs the standard one motor.  They say they are better for “extreme” environments.  I called today and Amp didn’t have much more to say then just that.  Figured they would have tried to push me to the extremes,   But they only gave me the canned one motor vs two.  I live in PA and do use my truck in all sorts of environments.  Mud, snow, ice, rain.  And the elusive sun.  It ends up being 350 more for the extreme steps.  And my logic usually is if one is good, two is better.  Thoughts?

That’s what I am thinking.  Of the issues I saw with them.  A few said they had some binding from the non-motorized bracket that needed constant lubricating.  Both brackets having their own Motors would eliminate that.  And let’s be honest.  They are already over priced.  Might as well get the whole enchilada.

Check out the RBP Stealth Power steps.  2 motors per side and better warranty than AMP.  I’ve had them for 5 months and love them.

Almost pulled the trigger on these but decided to go with a fixed running board.  Did a ton of research and from what I learned the RBP Stealth Power steps were the way to go.  Priced better than the Amp Xtreme as well.

You can’t even see it when installed.  It’s way more subtle than the promo material leads you to believe.  I have a 6” lift and I have to try to look under to see it.  Can’t see it from the side.

Man, they look like a good product but the branding on the bottom is cheesy af.

Of course they are out of stock.  LoL. Do you have pics of them from further back?  Open and closed?  Can you plug into the OBD port like the amp steps do as well?

I have the AMP extremes and love them. I bought them because I travel in northern areas with difficult winter conditions.

Never had a problem with them.

Worth the extra imo

The RBP’s do not use the ODB port.  One of the reasons I prefer them actually.  Here are some more pics.
