Just picked up my new truck after trading in my ram limited with only 15,000km. The interior in the ram was very nice but the overall ride and power train in the GMC I’d definitely more refined.

Which RAM did you have? I am still debating between RAM 2500 and GMC 2500.

I also have 2021 RAM 1500. I don't think I would choose any other half ton over my current one, but it is different when it comes to heavy duties. I think RAM is behind in HD with their 6 speed transmission and low payload.

Not a AT4 I know, but first thing I recommend in replacing the Rancho shocks. I went with Kryptonite stage 3 with Fox 2.0 shocks. Ride is still a 3/4 ton but 1000x's better then stock..and Toyo AT3 35x12.50R20 on the stock rims.

Mine has been great, no issues.  I also thought the ride was much better than the Ram.

I did test drove both, but I am afraid I could not make a final conclusion whether ride quality was better on one vs the other.
I asked both RAM and GM dealers if I can have a truck for longer test drive. GM said no right away, RAM didn’t respond yet.
One thing I noticed was it felt like RAM was louder. I know GM has 10 speed transmission vs 6 on RAM, but I don’t know if it is noticeable while driving or towing.
I also found that payload is around 3k on GM and ~2k on RAM.
I love interior of RAM, but it looks like GM is stronger and people say better drive.

I’ve had a 2016 ram 2500 and it was an ok drive but power train was ****** then I upgraded to a 2019 3500 limited with airbags and I wouldn’t recommend that to anyone. Ram has nice interiors and the Cummins is good but tranny is clunky and outdated

We need to start a club for former 2019 Ram 3500 Limited owners!  I just sold my '19 Ram 3500 Limited Diesel to a friend and bought a '21 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali Diesel.  Differences in engine performance and shifting are very noticeable to me.  As others have said, the Sierra w/the 10-speed is amazing!  As to the Ram interior - I initially liked the 12.1" touch screen display where almost everything was digital...right up until it completely quit.  FCA ended up replacing it twice.  So, no more Ram for me.

I know GM/GMC are going to offer a similar setup in the (possibly?) '22 or '23 models.  I highly recommend waiting until the bugs are worked out before pulling the trigger on those models if that's what peaks your interest.  FCA/Ram is having a heck of a time trying to solve the issues.

Curious question for the Canadian guys.  We get lots of 1 year old vehicles here for sale from Canada, live about 20 mins from the border.  And they are all with around 7-10k miles,  15ish and like 20-24ish.   I would imagine these are leases or something as I cant imagine trading trucks every year as it mean a huge loss all the time,  so always curious to the why.

I feel all of the big three are nice trucks and you really cant go wrong.  And ram always looked nice and had nice features for the price.  But always have felt they are always a lot of show and not as much substance.  Since 2014 I have had a GM half ton, a Ram half ton and two F150s and felt the ford was superior to the rest when it was all factored and felt like the ram was the cheapest of the bunch but looked the best.

If you tow and I do, then GM wins hands down on trailering features.  The camera system on these trucks is incredible.
