My alternator went out and I installed a new Mechman alternator last weekend. It says to run a 1/2” smaller belt than factory. Does anyone know the length of the factory serpentine belt?

Hey so im having the same issue. I just bought the Mechman Elite 370A alt and can not seem to find a good belt for it. What belt did you end up getting and found one that worked?

I bought the standard gates green back. I have not had a chance to install it yet. Did you do the cable upgrades for the negative and positive cables. I haven’t been able to do the negative cable yet and my alternator randomly stops charging.

sorry for the late response. I have done the cables but im having the same exact issue man. My alt has been squealing also and im getting terrible voltage fluctuation

Mechman told me the have had a few do this and it was the regulator I need to send it back. Mine finally went crazy and started putting out 18.8volts.

Oh wow thats not good lol. My alternator issue got fixed when i redid the wiring. However, couple days ago my truck had a very rough idle and i ended up hitting 16 volts. On top of that, my headlights and interior lights started to flicker bad. I sent it back for warranty also. I threw the factory alt back in and truck runs great just until i get the mechman back. The issue is the whole voltage system in these trucks. They made it difficult to do anything electrical wise. Did you get your alt back yet? If you did, how is the truck running?
