Yeah I don't have a VPM, I do have the IOS radio, the WAMS radio is expensive! but I have a feeling it wouldn't be needed.

my camera and module are scheduled for delivery today.  Will update installation issues or hopefully just update when complete saying how easy the install was.   I installed upgraded puddle lights with the chevy symbol that shines on the ground when door unlock is pressed in my wifes 2021 tahoe last night which was very easy thankfully because now I can focus today on my truck camera install. lol

That coax is a gps antenna or wifi antenna or onstar.  You need to have a video control module to have a front cam.  I think it could be possible to add a VCM by tapping into GMLAN 5060, power, ground and run camera lines.  Maybe a WAMS radio too.  Probably would need ios/iot radio not ior.   Would be interesting to find out if it can be done.  I added oem front cam to my truck but I had a VCM from having the trailer cam package (bedview, rearview and 2 trailer cam plugs) so all I needed was to run the coax lines to cams.

I Found that other coax cable capped off under the bed yesterday while plugging in my new tailgate harness. I have a feeling its a video input for some reason. I'm gonna try switching the coax connectors to see what that other input is for or if it will even show up on the infotainment center.

Update: I took off the Fakra connectors because they are different and just inserted the coax directly into the radio module and I got nothing. The pair of coax connections on the radio both lead to the very end of the truck, one is going to the reverse camera and the other is capped off under the bed right where the tailgate harness connects, (at least on my 2020 LT Texas edition with no trailering package) if anybody else would like to peak under their truck bed on the drivers side to see where that coax could possibly lead. Maybe it is used on a trailering package?

Please let me know what yall find out!

Update. I finished the install of my front camera and it would have been fairly quick and simple and even with the trouble I had it still wasnt that bad.

I installed the camera on the front grill below the bow tie and ran the cable in the engine bay along the driver side wheel well and down under the truck and brought it up the the rubber grommet in the driver side door sill and routed behind the carpet up under the dash to the passenger side.   Then I installed the video module under the passenger side dash and connected the required connections to the radio module and cable that comes in from the camera which is all fairly simple I thought.  So the first module I received had an issue with it and after trying several things with tech support we decided something was wrong with the module he sent so he sent me another one and I hooked it up and now the camera in the front is working and I also put a roku stick into the hdmi port on the module supplied and was able to pull it up on the radio screen where I could watch netflix or something if wanted.  I intend to get a cable that I can use to plug my iphone in and mirror it to the radio screen so I can watch stuff from my phone if wanted since it wasnt much more to get the module capable of doing so.

here is a link to the camera and module I installed.  https://www.gm-navigation.com/shop/2019-and-up-chevy-silverado-and-gmc-sierra-camera-module/

Andrewb24, I'm thinking about adding the front camera from MVI to my 2020 Sierra and wanted to know if you're satisfied with the quality and performance of your system? Anything you do or don't like about the system? Any advice?

Rally6.2RST, do you have any clue if anyone has successfully gotten this (or complete 360) to work on a truck that did not come factory with any VCM?

Looking to add a front camera has two rear cameras already. To a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Duramax 3.0 four-wheel-drive four-door short box pick up. What’s the easiest and best way to go to get a front view camera?

I dont know if its the easiest but I got a module from MVI at Gm-navigation.com which ties into your trucks radio module under the passenger side dash and the camera connects to that.  MVI sells cameras but I think I got my camera from ebay.   The camera and module were fairly easy to install.   I also added an option to the moudle where i can mirror my phone to the radio screen which is nice for watching the Braves when I am on the road.
