No one in these pics seems to have a front receiver mounted Winch?  All have been on a bumper mount?  anyone tell me why they don't like the versatility of the receiver mount/  Is the winch being mounted to strong for a receiver mount?

I think most people looking for a winch setup are looking for a permanently mounted winch solution with eye appeal, and receiver winches don't really fall into either of those categories.  Its a vain way of looking at it and I may be completely wrong but most Silvy's, being $40K-$50K, are daily drivers and most owners are probably trying to keep their trucks looking a certain way.  Front mount receiver winches don't always fall into "that look".  However, 20 years from now when the trucks aren't worth much, I bet you see a lot more liberties being taken with mounting solutions.

It's from Alpha Foxtrot Designs. Honestly I can't recommend it, it has issues staying tight on the roof. I actually have it off currently.

I need wheels now... stock AT4 wheels don't like going off road FYI to everyone lol

They aren't bead locks.  Not meant for serious offroading.  But, arguably, neither is this truck.  Too big, too wide, and too long, imo.  If you want a serious offroader get a Jeep Wrangler.  The Trail Boss is more for cruising down well-traveled dirt roads to go camping or hunting.  Definitely not for desert running or rock crawling.

Has anyone added storage in the tailgate? I have seen it on different vehicles, so I am thinking of doing it to mine. There is actually lots of room on the bottom with a divider from the opening components above. IMG_20210824_095144636_HDR.thumb.jpg.7e31a35eeb9a50cac431d48b8199e7e2.jpg

      I guess I'm the only one on this forum who can't get effing pics to load here! Do you have to resize them to post, or am I just blocked from uploads?   I have the same luck with automotive electronics ... but this is the ONLY site on the net that I have this problem!   I'd post pics of what I'm working on ... but I CAN'T! 🤬       Just fabbed up the kickdown cable (had to extend the cable mount WAAAY out from the throttle shaft to get a full pull), and parts arrived for the fuel lines on the 940 carb conversion project. Should be able to drive this thing by the end of the day. If not for work, I'd have had this thing done SIX weeks ago.   Got the jetting sorted out last week. Had a real bad tip-in bog that I couldn't seem to correct. Friggin float height was over 11mm too HIGH! eBay purchase, so no wonder everything is screwed up right out of the box! I ended up with a larger dual-squirt accelerator pump jet anyway instead of the single. Also moved the 70 primary idle jet (4 sizes too big out of the box) to the secondary idle circuit, and installed a 57 in the primary. Runs great on the fuel bottle!    Still using the computer for ignition. Going to drive it first and see if I want to go through the project of installing an intermediate shaft with a distributor drive gear, so I can install a block-mounted distributor and run points, 100% computer free. I should do that anyway just from a simplicity / reliability / tunability standpoint. The electronics left me stranded last year a couple times! I can't tweak the timing to my liking right now because of the computer. Tried twisting the cam-driven distributor already ... and the damned thing just reverts back to where it was! That's infuriating. But if it runs well enough I might save that for next season.   Just driving it in and out of the shop to work on other projects, it feels 1,000% more responsive with the carburetor. Also fires MUCH faster when cranking. Can't wait to drive it and see if I got more than 114 ponies, lolol.

      Triumph makes me think of cars not bikes. Especially with model names like the TR7, that was a Triumph car model too. Peak TR for me was the TR250. You could retain the post-war roadster looks, with an optional surrey hard top, but with an inline 6 engine instead of the TR4's anemic 4-cylinder, but still have a 4 speed, optional overdrive.   I know almost nothing about Triumph bikes, except that they exist. Good looking bikes though.   I don't know if I could just have one vehicle. The Silverado does it all except for fitting anywhere. But it leaves a void in real driving enjoyment, unless driving an extremely large sofa is your thing.   What did I do to my 'other' (muslce car - which one!?) vehicle lately. I took my '23 SS for a drive. It's only got 1600 miles. I keep reminding myself I shouldn't be so precious about this car. It likes to be driven. Needs to be driven. Life is short and if I don't enjoy it, someone else will. The other half calls it "the garage ornament".

      Yes. Absolutely. That doesn't mean I don't like and enjoy a variety of machines. I went for a time with no other vehicle than a 1976 Triumph TR7-V Tiger. Loved that bike and rode it 365 in any and all weather. I did not feel deprived of anything.
