So with the Amazon module hooked up the way they say to. Does anyone have issues with the mirrors??? More so with a remote start.  If I remote start then I have to shut off and restart for the mirror to unfold if not the mirror attempts to unfold but won’t. Maybe I got a bad module??

I don't use remote start very often. But I just did and mirrors remain folded. The mirrors do not unfold with remote unlock or with the exterior buttons on the door handle. Once in the truck pushing the brake pedal and the start button the mirrors remain folded. Using the switch the mirrors can then be unfolded.

No, that switch will not work, I attempted to make it work without success.

I bolted and wired up the mirrors last night per your diagram. Worked right away and super happy with it. One issue I had was if I play with lock/unlock while driving, the mirror actually folded and would not open again (I have not done the momentary switch yet). I want to get the two lamps going... the one that faces forward and rear next. I do have the task lamp wiring. I just need to find the pin map for this mirror and re-pin it to match the same wire that powered the task lamp on my previous stock mirror. It will be my life's mission to figure out how to get that OEM switch panel mirror fold button to work. : )

The switch is the momentary switch I installed.

Will pressing the switch say to the left always unfold mirror and pressing to the right unfold or does it depend on the position they are at when pressing switch?? Only asking as I’m looking for a switch and one says in/out.

I am pretty sure I put the info on the switch I used in on of my posts. The switch had 3 connections. Center connection is for power. Connect the fold out wire from both mirrors to one side and fold in to the other side. I installed the switch in verticle orientation. When I press and hold my switch up it closes the mirrors and down opens them.

You have to hold the switch until the mirrors are either full open or closed.

I wonder if you hook up the momentary switch to the same lock and unlock pins(piggy back them) and use a diode on the line that goes to the BCM so the 12 volt signal doesnt back feed to the locks so you dont have to hold the button down, just press and release.

When you remote start you are giving the module the ACC +12v telling it that the truck is running and not to fold/unfold during driving, GM vehicles have what’s called RAP (Retained Accessory Power) basically when you turn the truck off but the radio stays on until you open your door. I believe I used that RAP source from a fuse tap and it didn’t turn on when remote started, it only turned on when you got in and pressed the start button. There are many configurations with these new trucks, so you have to just test different fuses until you find what you need

constant 12v

engine running vehicle not on (remote started) 12v

Accessory 12v vehicle on engine not running

accessory 12v vehicle on engine running

accessory 12v RAP runs for 15min or until drivers door is opened after engine is turned off

What are the terminals being used to add to the OEM door harness for the mirror? I ordered the ones originally mentioned but they are too large for the connector and I cant for the life of me find the right ones. Reallty wanting to wire up powerfold for my tow mirrors.
