I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 6.2. 71000 miles   I need a new torque converter.  I know there is no science to how long before it damages the transmission or totally blows up.   What is the average best guess on miles I can drive before I’m SOL.   I need to get 500-600 miles out of it.

Thanks in advance.

As long as it takes the pump to move the debris to the valve body. IF it makes it past the pump.

How long can you hold a stick of dynamite before.......

usually if you need a converter, your gonna need the Pump too , your parts cost is already over $1000 for pump and converter, the more you drive it the worse it gets..

try just pumping out all the trashy fluid via cooler line, i would run 3 gallons of fluid thru it

i had the tcc go out on mine and i guess i was lucky because they were able to flush the trans and there was no damage to it. just a new TCC and good to go.
