I have had this 21 Sierra Elevation less than 72 hours. these lights came on power disappeared and I made it about a mile. It wont idle and unless I'm feathering the gas it won stay running. Dealer came and got it. First analysis is the map sensor. This thing sounds bad when its trying to run. The dealer will get back to me in the AM. I almost left GM products but it was the first full size bed I had seen in along time. This is my service business truck and now I'm signed up for a lifetime of trouble as to what ive been reading here. I bought the extended warranty so I cant even demand that from them. I feel I've made a huge mistake buying this truck. I'm sure I cant back out now. They did give me my old one back to run around in.  I will keep this updated daily as I'm sure this is just the start of a long list of troubles. Luckily I can pick up the two calls  missed today on Sunday!  Did I mention this truck has

Don't worry. You'll be taken care of.

Yeah you will be fine.

Other brands have issues too. Years ago, I got a brand new 2014 335i M-Sport, 200 miles the nav screen failed, the alignment was off so bad that they had to replace a knuckle, but wouldn't warranty tires, tail light fell out on the highway, and the list goes on. My 2007 Subaru WRX STI had bad piston rings but Subaru said I abused the car and would only pay for half. This was a well known issue too.

GM has done a decent job at taking care of me and my concerns and you will be fine as well.

If it would help, I could list the new vehicles I purchased that had problems from the get go. It wouldn't help you. If the dealer is any good, they'll take care of it. I would like to know the outcome.

I understand your frustration as I'm sure I would be frustrated as well but we all need to understand that it's just electronics, could be your new TV, Cell phone, or anything else electronic. All vehicle manufactures use all of these electronics and they all have their issues, some get lucky and have no issues, some aren't as lucky. Just because you have an issue at 134 miles doesn't mean you have a lemon. Again, Electronics fail, no matter what they are in, and again I understand your frustration but you have to look at the bigger picture (As long as the electronics do not fail on your TV 🤪). Enjoy your new truck once you get it back.

You can cancel an extended warranty any time you like. Plus none of this would be covered by the extended, this will be the factory bumper to bumper. You paid for 5 years, probaly will get to use maybe 3 years of it after the factory BtoB expires.

Broken #4 exhaust valve spring. That was it. Hope the rest are good. They said when it happens it throws all kinds of codes. Brakes are one of them.  codes p0106 and p0300. I would of thought the p0106 would of been the 6th cylinder. Oh well its back on the road. Now at 139 miles. Fingers crossed!

Exact same thing happened to me on my 6.2 Trail Boss with 194 miles on it. They only wanted to replace the one that broke. I said I didn’t want the truck back until they replaced all of 16 of them. A month later my truck was done. Kind of annoying when you have to sit on the side of the road for 2 hours waiting on the dealership to pick it up. Oh and it was 2 days before Xmas and 20° out so I couldn’t keep it running to have the heat going. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth but I ended up keeping it. So far no other issues since then and I have 15,500 miles now. Love this truck. It’s frustrating but they’ll take care of you.
