I just read the article 'GM to Launch Massive Online Parts and Accessories Shop' and had to laugh!. I don't know about anyone else who's buying into this stuff but speaking of parts, my 2020 Chevy 2500HD has been sitting in the dealer's lot for a replacement defective DEF tank for the past couple weeks. The truck just turned over 10k miles, yes I haven't driven it much since that ill-fated day in January 2020 when I decided to buy a new truck to haul my camper. I grew up in Michigan and wanted to own a Flint assembled 'Made in America' truck but now I'm not sure I will ever buy another GM product. The price for that decision was insanly expensive to start with and at the time was sure it was a great truck to own.  Better that any Ford or Ram trucks. My Chevy dealer's service department just told me that they have no ETA for the replacement part for mine and the other diesel trucks sitting in thier yard pending the same part. What a shame!

How is that's GM's fault when the makers of the parts can't supply them?  My neighbor had her old garage remodeled and they ordered 2 new overhead metal doors.  To this date the doors have not showed up.  On back-order since July 2021.   Furd and Stellantis have the same problems sourceing parts.

It is GM's fault when they do not proactively manage their supply chains.  It's GM's fault when they use incoming parts to build new trucks rather than use those parts to repair existing trucks.  It's GM's fault when they totally mismanage the reliability and durability of their trucks.

I suggest selling whatever GM stock you may have because the recent fiascos are going to cause buyer blow-back and reduced future sales which will drag down stock price.

I am in the same boat and I work for GM.  My 2020 hd denali truck has been sitting in dealership since 2/21, 3 weeks now waiting for DEF tank.  I am pissed off.  These are work trucks and people are loosing money when they sit like this.  Is GM going to make my next payment?  It bLows my mind that they are building in flint and they choose not to take care of the existing customers.  I have had 4 GM trucks in last 7 years and this my last one.  I also had a cruze disel that it took them 2years to sort out sw and codes.  And multiple nox and heater element replacements.

Have had 2 of my buddy's with same problem, dealer told em could be months. Buddy number 1 has had his truck down for 8 weaks already. And buddy number 2 has been down for 3 weeks now. Not trying to throw a low blow but that's why I told both ove em that's why I got the L8T gas , less trouble but does have less capabilities. I'll take that trade if I'm not pulling 15+k all the time.

L8T not immune from issues.  BOTH of our 2020 6.6 gas trucks were down, one for 2weeks and the other for 3 waiting for parts.  It happens.  My Duramax also had the Def heater issue last year and was down 2 weeks, no issues since.

These problems are industry wide at this point.  Ford and Ram are having the same issues.  I know it's no help, but that's just the world we live it at the moment.
