Pushed out to 03 May now  :(

At least you're getting some information, even if it's BS.

All my dealer can tell me is it's still in Flint.

In one GM chat several weeks ago, they told me April 8th. Ever since then, nothing.

Mine was built in February, so currently been 'sitting' for 2 months. Nowhere near your wait.

My dealer says: Still the same.  No change.  Still sitting..lol

I feel your pain. My 2500HD Custom was built in December and was initially “in transit” with first delivery date of January 6th. It’s been delayed every two weeks since the beginning of January. Every two weeks I check in with the dealer and they say- delayed again. ETA just moved from 4/15 to 4/28. I’m sure 4/28 will come and go. It’s certainly a lesson in patience.

What are your thoughts about new trucks sitting unused in a Flint lot since January?  Do you think this has any long term negatives from sitting other than surface rust?  Just seems like it can’t be good in any way but could it be problematic?

Well, they're not accumulating any miles! Going to be alot of '21, '22 and '23's hit the market, with low miles in '25-'30 when "they" won't register ice vehicles.

Nice...not really.  Heard something about this in the pipeline.  Glad to see it in letter form.  My dealer never mentioned this.

Do we have a range of VINs that are affected?

My truck arrived at it’s scheduled day and time. It took the rails from Flint and truck from Selkirk, NY.  The dealer said the factory keeps pumping out vehicles and further burying older orders deep into huge storage lots.

I ordered a gas 2500 Lt midnight edition in late January. It was two weeks before the price increase which the dealer (Banks Concord,NH) honored the original MSRP as a price protection discount on the P&S.. it came with 1k accessory allowance which I had to use right away.

Wow- what a great looking truck. I wonder why some gassers that ordered in Dec/Nov are just sitting and other gas 2500hd ordered in 2022 are already delivered?  Are the trucks from Canada shipping faster or are the older orders truly buried in Flint and will be the last to get dug out of the lot.

Yup... makes no sense. I waited for 7 months as well and now look back thinking, why did I do that? I should had just paid the ADM and been done with it... but I refused to pay over MSRP.

Finally took delivery at MSRP of an AT4 2500 that had a deal fall out. The other day, was curious and looked at the build date on the door jam and was built in March.... and I buy it in April, what the heck!?

I really think my ordered truck from back in October must be buried on some lot and GM is only pulling the easy to reach ones out. If I was waiting on a Chevy, I certainly would make sure it was being built in the Canadian factory... we seem to be a real mess down here.

In Southern California, I'm seeing HD's briefly sit on lots and dealers now posting actual photos of them on-line (mostly Denalis or very low option trims). ADM's are coming down from the crazy $10,000 mark-up... $2,500-$5,000 now.

Side Note: I ended up driving a few hours to a dealership who was not charging ADM. Motor City GMC in Bakersfield California has a policy of no ADM's on any vehicle. Worth checking out as they have a ton of trucks coming in all the time and high volume... I'd buy from them again.

    • Well that book won't sell many copies. Taking ones right foot off the loud pedal never gets applause. Funny really, It isn't that people don't know what to do...they just don't want to do it. But they will complain about it. About bad craftsmanship, about the cost of fuel, about the cost of part and repairs and mainly they complain that the solution while still possible isn't one they are willing to do.    I observe this daily. 'Gas cost to much!", they wail, while they mat it passing at 80+ mpg and scoot down the road like gas cost a dime a gallon. Then complain about the few that will lift and save both fuel and iron like they are owed and own the road.    Good thing they haven't an ounce of influence on my equipment. The rest I just laugh at. Stupid is as stupid does, right Forest?
    • Today I filled up with 4.899 gallons of fuel at a cost of $4.899 a gallon. $24 bucks. 290 miles. 59.2 mpg. After my 4% COSTCO discount just under eight cents a mile.
    • Howdy folks,   Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets).   On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element.     No problem… or so I thought.   I used an “Add-A-Fuse” at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground.   Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though.   Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.    Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.    Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped.   Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.
