Long story short, having battery issues; need to replace it but have yet to dig deep into how much effort; HC's have little room for low voltage situations.  Decided I was going to try my hand at free parking at charging stations (*sarcasm).  Installed a port on the back foot well, plan to put my aux port up right next to it when I figure out that whole mounting situation.

Isn't too exciting, but thought I'd share.

Very clever, nicely done.

The rear of the battery box/fuse cover has two openings that you might could use to route the cables.  I know many owners use those openings to route their winch power supply from so I would assume that the openings would be more than adequate for your needs.

I think I would have just replaced the battery rather than do that.

I needed it anyhow, don't drive that often.

Now I get it. That's a good idea 💡
