I posted a video on YouTube of the walk around the guy sent me of the truck with it running sadly it’s 5 hours away so if I’m going up I’m bringing it home just not sure if I need to get it towed back does it sound healthy to any of you I’m unfamiliar with this truck and engine  but so far the plan is to purchase

At those miles and that price grab it.  $5-6K in repairs and maintenance and she'll be as good as new.  It might even have a new 4L70 already too.  Check the comments section on youtube.

Nothing I had a brain fart.

I would buy that truck in a heart beat though. Even if it has lifter tick you can part the entire thing out for more than $3k. Rebuild the engine without AFM, new cam and lifters nothing more, you can sell the engine for almost as much as the truck lol

Appreciate it thank you @shakenfake I’m gonna try to get it road worthy  hopefully pass a out of province on it and I got a bunch of ideas and money I want to throw into it 🤞🏻 The money doesn’t all get spent of making it road worthy

Find your budget before you throw money at it. Don't do something stupid, even though I would buy in a heartbeat does not mean I would drop a ton of money on a 14 year old truck.

Just something to keep in mind. I say this with experience coming from a 23 year old truck that I have put around $10k in lol

There's something nice about not having a car payment and these older trucks we can fix them up when and how we please, like Evan is doing.  I don't have a limit for mine money wise.  If the frame rusts, I'll replace it, if the body rusts, I'll replace that too!  LOL
