Reading this site will make you paranoid but I don't believe some of this but iam not saying there's is a not a problem but I have noticed on this site that alot of people come on here with a low meaning 1-10 or so post count saying they have the problem also now are they here just to bring up the hype (troll) the site on the issue. Me I cant see joining a site just to complain on an issue and never heard from again. Best thing to do is talk to your dealers service manager and see what they have to say and not rely on a forum.

Back a couple years ago when the oil cooler line blowing off issue was going on I was in our dealership at that time when this was going on I talked to the shop Foreman which is a friend of mine and ask him about the issue he told me he has not seen any trucks come in with the issue but he did a search on dealers around a 100 mile area and only saw 3 oil cooler line issues but those trucks had high miles and were leaking. You saw so many people come on here with low post counts saying they had the issue also and never heard from again then all the sudden that faze was gone. So don't believe everything you read on here.

Think about it I could join a Ford forum and say my truck just dropped a piston at 2000 miles and it would create a wave of worries on the forum when I don't even own a Ford.

When I’m researching a vehicle I look to the net to research any corresponding problems. It’s how I ended here in 2014. There is a class action lawsuit over GM lifter failures.

Your poll is not going to be accurate because guys come here to complain about their issues.

Nobody hardly ever comes on here to say how great their truck is.

I've said this many times. The www exaggerates this issue.

The real failure rate is probably less than 1%.

I doubt that class action suit will get anywhere also. They rarely do.

Sounds like you need to cancel your order and go pick up a Yugo. You're going to worry yourself to death

Report back when your tranny starts slipping when you try hauling something and your tires keep screeching due to the tranny slippage and you are barely going anywhere.  First hand experience with this with dodge and their gassers just trying to haul a car.

Also. You do know dodge is suffering the exact same lifter issue in all of their v8's right?  Whats that tell you?  Its NOT a GM issue, but a supplier issue.

Researching a vehicle is like watching the news. You have to watch several different forums.

Well I am brand loyal.

Know why ?

I just bought my 17th and 18th Chevy truck.

The LTZ is a 5.3 and the High Country is a 6.2.

Am I concerned? Not in the least bit.

I've never had a major issue except a head gasket on a 03 Duramax LB7. Failed at 200,000 miles. Still drove it for a month bottle feeding it anti freeze daily.

Big deal. I was ready for a new truck anyway.

I've got almost 3 million miles under my belt driving Chevys.

I've been left on the side of the road 3 times in 43 years.

That's brand loyal.
