Question for anyone that has ordered a truck lately

I know this all depends on the dealership and allotments, but I was just curious what the wait times are looking like.

 

I have ordered quite a few cars and trucks over the years and this is uncharted territory with all the current conditions.

 

I ordered a regular cab with pretty much every option they would let me order, I thought being a regular cab might speed it up and not something with more options.....but that doesn't seem to be the case.....at least not yet.

 

I placed the order April 1st and have no movement at all yet....still 1100.

 

Just wondering what others are experiencing.

Ordered mine 3rd week in Dec. and got it last week in March.

Thanks for posting, good to know.....makes me feel better about it.

 

They told me 3 months, but smiled a little and said it could be 2

 

 

At this point I would be happy with GM just accepting the order.

A lot of it seems to be based on cab configuration.  Crew cabs seem to get priority lately, double cabs are almost non-existent for orders right now.  I think there are more regular cabs on lots right now than doubles.

You are exactly right, I can only find one real picture of a refreshed double cab on the internet period.....and quite a few regular cabs....even quite a few short bed regular cabs I was happy to see.

Ordered 2021 Trail Boss 4.3 V6 mid August, two weeks later GM cancelled and offered to convert to 2022 LTD 2.7 Turbo delivered 23rd Nov 2021.

I ordered Feb 14 it just arrived at the dealer last weekend. No I'm waiting again because the dealership is backed up with orders arriving in large numbers IE all of the GM models.

I order mine on 4-5/22 and still nothing, order not accepted my GM

Seems 3 or 4 months is right about the time anymore.....Used to be 8-10 was long.....6-8 was typical (weeks).

 

You liking that 2.7 turbo? In my test drive it was impressive!

 2 and 1/2 months....that seems pretty good now days.

 

I hope you are able to pick it up soon, the waiting is not the fun part!

So far the GM chat window (virtual advisor).....but I asked my salesman about it the last time I was in there to be sure I was getting accurate info and he said sometimes the chat window had told people stuff before it showed up in his system.

 

Seems like it must be pretty good.
