Good morning. I am attempting to install a kill switch in my 2016 GMC SIERRA 4.3. I cannot find the fuel pump or crank wires I need to cut and wire to my switch. Does any one have access to fuel pump or crank wire diagrams with location and wire color they could please share?   I tried back probing all over the steering column and can’t find a “crank” wire. Or does anyone have any other easier wire to cut and wire to switch to keep the truck from starting? I have a momentary switch and a toggle switch ready depending on which one I need.

I live in Texas where these trucks go missing and get took to Mexico all the time. I heard thieves just pop the hood and install a pcm programmed not to look for PK3 before starting. So shutting of fuel independently or crank should fix or prevent this hack? And on star is a joke to unplug.. js

Your best bet is to probably intercept the fuel pump wires. Some starting wires can have high amps, high enough to jump across a switch. But the better question is, is your truck insured for theft? If so, let them take it. Probably cheaper than replacing smashed glass, repairing the interior, getting body work done, and fixing whatever damage these losers do.

A stolen or attempted stolen vehicle is like a spouse thats been with someone else. Just doesn't feel right after its over.

Would you happen to have a wiring diagram of the fuel system? Yea it’s insured but I won’t see a dime if it gets stolen..

I know you are probably trying to figure this out on your own to save some money but there is an anti theft disabler setup that is available but will set you back about $700 installed. I have considered doing this but haven't quite gotten around to looking further. Partially because I know my insurance would cover the theft if/when it would ever happen.

But my biggest issue is that especially in the winter, I take advantage of the remote start. I know this is a hot topic with one particular forum member here but I still like the convenience of it. By putting on a kill switch, I would most likely lose the remote start capability and pretty sure this aftermarket setup would probably also prevent me from remote starting as well but haven't found further info on it.

But take a look at this place. They advertise that no one has ever been able to steal a vehicle equipped with their kit:

Looks like there are 4 different fuel pump related fuses. They are located in the fuse panel under the hood in engine compartment. They are fuse #18- fuel pump, fuse #21- fuel pump power module, fuse #41- fuel pump 2, and finally fuse #59- fuel pump. There is also 1 related relay also in the engine fuse block. Relay #66- fuel pump 2
