ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL NOT....

The last week of 2022, I bought a new Sierra 1500 Denali, 6.2L V8 engine. Salesperson showed me all functions, including setting up the gap for the adaptive cruise control. The adaptive cruise control would never work. I just returned from the dealership:  "Oh, it was not installed, that is part of the high end package. So...all talk about high end Sierra trucks, such as the Denali, having "adaptive" cruise control: No, not correct. There is only old-fashioned cruise control. The feature to set up up the gap in 1-2-3 increments means NOTHING. $72,000 for old fashioned cruise control....what is wrong with GM ?

It seems they are putting that in the highest trim packages now. My wife bought a 21 Acadia Denali. I figured it had the Adaptive Cruise as well since my 20 Sierra SLT does. When we took our 1st trip out of town I went to use it and got nothing. I looked up the features on her car and you had to buy the Denali Ultimate package to get that. Yes it has the gap settings and the HUD but no AC. I told her they could have kept the HUD. LOL

Includes (UGN) Enhanced automatic Emergency Braking on vehicles built prior to 6-13-2022. Vehicles built on or after 6-13-2022 will include (UHY) Automatic Emergency Braking.

Chip issues cause these items to be removed. If you really want some of these features you should trade in your truck in a few years.
