Can´t find what type of fluid is used in the transfer case. Have seen on the web different suggestions that say AutoTrak II and Dexron III or higher.  Reading info on both products have found that they are not the same.

If I were able to find the transfer case ID plate, Which I can't, I would know from a list I was able to find on the net that refers to fluid for TC model

Thanks

Did you look in your Owners Manual?  It should be in there.

Nothing there. Says "SEE YOUR DEALER" From experience I know dealers have a way of not following GM OEM specs

Interesting, mine shows Dexron 6 for the Transf. case and does show "see your dealer" for the front axle (4x4).

For the win!

If all else fails, check the owners manual.  Now for the popcorn... "what's the best Dexron 6 ATF for my vehicle?" 😁

I have 2 quarts of this left over from the trans drain and fill. Can I use this for the transfer case?

No, that's Dexron HP.  You need Dexron VI spec.

LV stands for "Low Viscosity"

Dexron VI - 4sp, 6sp and Transfer Case

Dexron LV - 8-sp (Low Viscosity)

Dexron ULV - 10-sp (Ultra Low Viscosity)

Here is a good capacities guide and reference of what fluids you can use.
