Rear camera cuts out in reverse

Recommended Posts

Less than 500 miles on the 2023 Silverado and the rear camera goes black and displays a red triangle with and exclamation point and a circle with a camera that has a line through it. Software bug or a communication problem?

Mine was doing the same thing and my dealer did a software update on it and it's been fine since.

Same here, fairly intermittent, but annoying.  You find a fix?

Hi, I appreciate the input from everyone. We have plans to bring it back to the dealer and hopefully they can correct it. Right now, I just dont have that warm and fuzzy feeling anymore about the Silverado

The Truck sat at the Autonation dealership Corpus Christi for a week and said because a trouble code was never set, there is nothing they can do about the camera. Driver side weatherstripping also leaks and making a whistling noise, they never even bothered to look at it, instead they drove it and didnt hear any sound. Not sure if they drove on the highway, probably not if they drove it at all. Now they want to charge an hour labor and maybe the will change out the weather stripping.

I have a feeling this vehicle will turn into a $60,000 paperweight.
