Curious if anyone has added a CD player to the center console?  My wife has a 2021 Silverado and she is a bit classic, and prefers listening to CD's as opposed to streaming...

Copy the cd's to a usb.

I used iTunes on my computer to convert the cd files to mp3 for this purpose.

Won't be using a streaming app.

Easy to put many many hours on a single usb.

Of course, if desired,  the library could also be stored on a phone rather than a usb.

This style (Lexar S45 is an example) is the same size as the usb devices used for bt mouse or keyboard (so doesn't stick out much, which reduces chance of physical damage)

They are not expensive it wanting to give it a try.

I agree with copying cd's to a usb thumb drive.  ...That's what I do.

I have the base radio in my 2021.  ....You can browse through the flash drive, play at random, or play continuously.

....I put approx 250 songs on a flash drive.  ....Songs are played alphabetically, but genres can be sorted with a little creativity.

All my vehicles still have cd players. I rarely use them. If I’m not listening to iHeart radio I still use my iPods. I copied my cds and mp3s to them. I even burned my old albums to CDs to iPods. Seven thousand songs total. I’m not just a KARNUT I’m a music nut too.

I've seen some external CD drives that hook to USB for sale on ebay that say they work with the new trucks. I'm not sure if a regular USB computer CD drive would work. I can't find mine to try it out.
