2024 HD orders / status

6 weeks later and no allocation received and factory has not accepted the order. Getting frustrated beyond belief. About ready to pull the plug and move on to another brand. 
Not having much confidence in my dealer. Is 6 weeks out of line to wait for an allocation and order acceptance?

Ask them how many are ahead of you? I waited months, but I got a good price and new there were 80 people in front of me..  You gotta ask the right questions some dealers dont tell the whole story unless asked

High Volume dealers = Lots of orders..... just because they are high volume they arent going to get unlimited allocations and GM can only build trucks so fast

My dealer recently informed me my truck was at production code 3400 (Broadcast) and had a planned build week of 1/29/24.

 

TIP - I've been keeping an eye on GMC's website.

I found my truck on GMC.com --->Shopping --->View Inventory.  I simply set the configuration to "3500" & "Double cab",

and, .... whoops there it is, in transit to my dealer!

 

Hope this is useful to anyone. Now we wait for transit.

Order was placed in October 2023.

Factory issued allocation to dealer 12/14/23.

Production was scheduled for week of 1/29/24.

 

I was surprised that my truck, being "pre-sold", is listed on GM's website as "inventory".

I ordered my GMC Denali on 1/19/24. Will be interesting to see all the steps mine is going to go through.

zero updates via email from GM. My truck isnt on the in transit section.

But when I messaged the virtual assistant on GM.com (advice taken from this board) it says my trucks in transit.

Your dealership can track your truck with their tracker system. It shows a type of google map and marks where your truck is located, at that current time.

Just talked to them. They dont have an exact date but it is indeed in transit. Est eta end of this month.
