Well here we are almost 3 weeks after my last trip to the dealer to fix the camera issues, and I was just informed today that the camera module is back ordered. This issue, combined with the fact that my wireless Apple CarPlay won't connect the majority of the time I start the truck, is starting to make me question GM's commitment to quality. These SW issues should have never made it into the field.

Got a call late last week saying the module had come in. So I took it in today to get replaced...and then the dealer called an hour and a half later to tell me that GM put the wrong module in the box. Turns out the box it came in had the correct part number, but the module had a wrong part number and won't work. So they ordered another one, hopefully that one doesn't take 4 weeks to come in as well. This will be attempt number four to fix the failed camera module, smh.

I have a 2024 3500 silverado and my turn signal lights have gone out several times now.  When I shut the truck off and restart they usually reset and work fine for a few days. But I bought this truck to pull my trailer and so far every time I'm pulling the lights start acting up. No turn signals and now I've noticed the brake lights don't always work. This is dangerous!!  My husband and I own 8 different trailers and it seem the lights aren't working on any of the trailers when we pull with the 2024 Chevy. But my husbands ford truck works just fine, the brakes and turn signal lights work just fine. My son has a dodge and also helps us pull sometimes.. lights work fine on the dodge as well.

Ended up getting a call after a few days that the new module made it in, much faster turnaround this time. Took my truck in on Wednesday and the new module fixed the missing camera guidelines and grayed out camera options.

I have a 2024 Silverado LTZ 6.2L as soon as I plug in my 7way the trailer diag screen comes on to check and it states the left and right turn signal inop, it goes through its process they blink fast but after a few minutes they work fine. I called my dealer and they seemed noy interested into looking at the issue. A farmer friend of mine who has several new trucks and generally they need to fix there own trucks right!! said its a resistor issue need to add a light bulb into my system on my trailer.... Says the new trucks have an issue picking up LED bulbs, but isn't that what's in every dam trailer and car now a day? has anyone else had this issue? if so please let me know what the fix is cause GM seems to not know. I can send a video or pics if needed.

Mine frequently does this and I chalk it up to the system recognizing the trailer, not really an issue for me as its only about a 2 second delay.  You could try checking the ground on your trailer.  Does it start working on its own while parked or after you've started driving?

I had the Passenger side light assembly changed under warranty due to internal shorts . Signal would fail. Halo would not flash or change when it was acting up.  Been fine ever since... Very expensive part glad it was still under bumper to bumper.

I just got a failed inspection for my NEW 2022 1500 LTZ  - Mirror lights not working.
my 1ast inspection after having the truck for a year and it gets a big fat reject sticker
I have NEVER seen these lights work , How did the dealer give me a sticker when I purchased it if they dont work?
Now I get to take ANOTHER day off and go sit at the dealership...... Starting to feel sorry for being loyal to Chevy
Truck has three thousand seven hundred eighty eight miles It has been back to the dealership five times.

It's about ready to turn it to a Toyota

My 2024 GMC HD AEVtruck has been at the dealership for the last 3 weeks. I had the left rear blinker not working, but only when the headlights were on. The Field Engineer has been out on 2 separate occasions. Replaced headlights, taillights and BCM. Checked all connections and grounds.
I’m beyond frustrated to be without my $105k truck with no idea if/when I’ll get it back. “They’ve never seen this before”, even though I sent them this link.
I’ll keep you posted.

Sorry to hear about the trouble.  I was recently at my local dealer and the number of sold 24s parked on the side of the lot "waiting for parts" was appalling.  I don't know if GM had a bad batch of parts, or assembly problems, but in my years of owning them, I have never seen such a widespread set of problems on brand new trucks.

My 2024 AT4 started having an issue with driver side mirror and deiver side from turn signal on. Yet the truck is OFF and the blinker switch is in the middle (blinkers off”). No other issues - no trailer connected.

I’ve had the same thing happening to my truck. Doesn’t even have 500 miles in it yet and I got a message stating to check my left turn signal in the front. I love GM this is the 3rd Silverado I’ve had in 4 years. I had an electrical problem going on with my 2020 custom. talked to GM and they said if they couldn’t fix it after 7 visits they would buy it back.. 9 visits later they wouldn’t buy it back so I got a 21 LT. lifters went out within 1st 10000 miles and I’ve had 2 mis fires. Now I have a 24 LTZ and my DRL goes out..  talk about stressful

Strangely, when new, I would get the fast flash 5 or 6 times on occasion.  It hasn't happened in probably the last 10 months or so.

I have the exact same issue on my 2024 High Country. It’s not every time either. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t.

Absolutely in love with this truck, but do have concerns about all the gizmos. More to go wrong my grandpa used to always say.

this feels like a software bug more than an electrical or lamp problem.

I am having the same issue with the LED headlamp/ turn signal module in my 2022.5 High country.  I have narrowed it down to high heat.  If the vehicle is in direct sun for hours( without the truck running) the unit will not work.  No DRL, no turn signal.  If the vehicle cools down ( again, not operating) it will work normal.

I can drive in 95° temps all day and it won't fail since airflow is happening, but if parked in high sunlight and heat, it will fail.  I have not been to the dealer yet, but afraid if I do it will be "no problem found" unless they park it in the hot summer sun for 8 hours.  The truck is typically in a garage, so this issue doesn't happen often.

Anyone else have it happen this way?

    • My 2025 Silverado 1500 had to receive a brand-new engine (long block) under warranty last month at only around 16,500 miles. Before the replacement, the truck repeatedly displayed "Engine Oil Level Low" warnings, even though the Oil Life Monitor still showed around 50% remaining after about 6,000 miles since my last oil change. After seeing the warning several times, I checked the dipstick with the engine cold, and the oil level was completely normal. The next day, the message escalated to "Add Engine Oil." At first, I assumed it was just a faulty oil level sensor, so I brought the truck to the dealership. After inspecting the engine, they found internal cylinder wall scoring and ultimately replaced the entire long block under warranty. Before this happened, I was planning to install a 4-inch lift and suspension upgrade on my truck. After needing a new engine at just 16,500 miles, I honestly don't see the point anymore. I also contacted GM to ask whether my vehicle qualified for a buyback, but I was informed that it does not at this time. Anyway, this experience has left me with serious concerns about the long-term reliability of this engine. I sincerely hope NHTSA expands the current investigation or recall to include 2025 model and performs a thorough inspection of affected vehicles. My biggest concern is that these engines may fail shortly after the powertrain warranty expires. If GM truly stands behind this engine, then at the very least, please consider extending the powertrain warranty to 10 years for affected owners. That would go a long way toward restoring customer confidence.
    • Without exception but then I'm the odd duck, right? I know what goes into that test, how it is calculated and thus how to beat it. But EPA values are often not beaten by the general public and the government has in past years adjusted the means and methods to come to those values to more closely approximate "Joe Average".    The only real trick to beating that EPA average is don't drive like "Joe Average".    It's the same method you used to profit from "Economic Migration" and in doing so beat the 'stats'. But you, like me, are not "Joe Average".     The thing you don't seem to grasp is this "Purchasing Power Index" isn't forward looking. It doesn't predict what it going to be but looks backward and states what it was. They are not telling us what the THINK, they are telling us what they MEASURED. Example:    Wife says "I'm going to lose 40 pounds by Christmas". May she does, maybe she doesn't but the doctors office who weighed her when she made that statement and again at Christmas only REPORTS what the RESULT was. You and I can banter about what was possible and what aunt Tilly did till the cows come home but the result is the result. Arguing otherwise is.....irrational. That's all I'm saying. This isn't about:      What you are calling a 'Statistic' is a RESULT not a CALCUATION and as a result the RULE. Like gravity as a rule, it can not be broken.
    • Just wanted to say thank you for posting this. Years later, your thread is still helping Silverado owners.   I bought my 2025 Silverado 1500 in January 2025, and I've had what feels like the exact same rattle since day one. After reading your findings, I believe my truck has the same issue with the cable carrier contacting the rear sliding window. To be honest, I had pretty much given up on pursuing the issue. It wasn't until I recently drove another brand's pickup that I realized just how quiet their cabin was—and how noisy mine has been all along. On my truck, the rattle happens on almost any paved road, gets even worse on rougher pavement, and I can even hear it during braking and acceleration.   I actually referenced your thread when submitting my case to GM, hoping they'll recognize this as a recurring issue instead of treating it as an isolated incident. The reason I reached out to GM first is because my dealership told me they would need to keep the truck for at least two days just to diagnose the problem. I was concerned that even after two days, they still might not be able to identify the source of the rattle before giving the truck back to me. I had also asked a few dealerships about this issue during previous service visits, but none of them seemed to know what was causing it or had a solution. That's why I decided to contact GM directly first, hoping they might already have an official repair procedure or guidance for this issue.   I also hope GM eventually comes up with an official fix for this problem. I have a feeling there are many Silverado owners experiencing the same rattle, but most either choose to live with it or simply don't know what the cause is.   Really appreciate you taking the time to document your diagnosis. Your post is still making a difference years later.
    • I have 2 choices.
    • Do you have access to BP fuels? Some stations have Silver 91 E-0 priced the same as their 93 E-10.  There is a local Marathon with 90 alky free for $6 a gallon but I go down the road to BP for $5-ish. They also have a 100 E-0 but that stuff is $10 a pop.
