For those having the turn signal issue, where was the truck built? Ours if a Flint MI build. Curious if we can maybe isolate to a part at one plant or just BCM (or whatever module it would be) fault/programming.

Not plant specific nor is this an HD specific issue.  1/2 tons are doing this same headlights issue on the LED headlights and they are built in Mexico, Indiana and Canada.

Its an LED headlights issue or something controling them.

Does anyone know if there has been a service bulletin regarding the issue?

This is my first chevy and I am not filled with confidence of there ability to

fix it after reading this thread.

LIGHTING PROBLEMS FINALLY SOLVED. i have waited so long to post this so that i was as sure as possible everything was working properly since the problems were so intermittent. About 7-8 weeks ago both of my headlights were replaced to fix the turn signal fast flash problem, which it did but the new right side headlight had a new problem. the DRL would flash sometimes when the headlights were on. My dealer opened a TAC case and GM told them to replace the right headlight again. They were on backorder for about 3-4 weeks. 3 weeks ago the new right side came in and 2 weeks ago it was replaced. so far everything is fine with the DRL.

i have been dealing with this lighting problem since the first 100 miles on the truck in April. the steering box had a leak and was replaced but no other issues with the truck, it has been EXCELLENT,    i hope this lighting information helps some of the other guys out that are having the same problems.

Two new headlamps on order for mine.  The left front has gone out (fast signal flash) about 5-6 times now.

No, not yet.  I'm sure there will be shortly once they do enough in field investigations on these as I'm sure GM will be calling back headlight assemblies for evaluation to see what is exactly going on.

So far its faulty headlight assemblies so a supplier issue with the lamp or components inside the lamp, and also poor terminal tension at the connectors to the headlight(s) and a couple other spots they are aware of.

I've only ever had the fast signal flash when towing a trailer, and typically it's 4 or 5 fast flashes before it sorts itself out and flashes normally.

Are you guys with the issue having the fast flash without a trailer attached, and is it flashing fast for the duration of that activation?  Trying to figure out if I have this issue or not.

Mine was by itself at about 350 miles. Sometimes it would do it and sometimes it wouldn't. Once in awhile. It would clear up and other times it wouldn't.

So far the replacements seem to be working. They were replaced in May and about 3,000 miles have elapsed.

I've had both scenarios. The trailering variety rights itself as you mentioned. Had the non-trailering variety again this morning, and it doesn't stop until I turn off the truck and walk away for a few minutes, I think it's time to call it in.

The headlights are $1500 each and are going to be way backordered now.

I think you are silly if you wait

Hasn't mattered for mine.  It has done it with and without a trailer.  It will flash normal (or seem to) for the first second or so, then goes to a fast flash like the old school bulb being out.  Sometimes it will be out all day, even after shutting down, and others it has come back the next time I use the signal, very random.  It always shows "Check left front signal" on the dash when it occurs.

Same issue on my 2023 LT. I've taken it to one dealership who "couldn't replicate the problem." Now, I'm taking it to another one for a second opinion. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it flashes normal and then does the fast flash like the old school trucks used to do when a bulb went out.

I haven't had the issue with the T/S's not working, but I have had my truck for about 5 weeks and I've noticed that the animated headlights don't work (at least not that I can tell). The lights just flash when I hit lock or unlock, just like any ol' regular light.

I've had other electrical issues too, my camera guidance lines have never worked and I have a blue hourglass in the top left corner when the cameras are on. I have taken the truck into the dealer twice for the camera issues, and they can't fix it even with GM tech help. They now have a camera module ordered to replace the one in the truck, hope that fixes the problem.

Mine flash on lock or unlock also, but when turning, the animation works.  I notice it when I'm behind another vehicle with a tailgate.

Well here we are almost 3 weeks after my last trip to the dealer to fix the camera issues, and I was just informed today that the camera module is back ordered. This issue, combined with the fact that my wireless Apple CarPlay won't connect the majority of the time I start the truck, is starting to make me question GM's commitment to quality. These SW issues should have never made it into the field.

    • I have A 2020 1500 5.3 8 speed. LTZ. Transmission problems since 60,000 miles. Started when I go to store in morning to get my morning coffee before work leave truck running get back in put it in drive/ rev no movement step on gas a little slams into gear. Put in neutral step on gas little shake then put in gear and gose.  Shut truck off start .. ok now at stop light stop truck after a few seconds feel a little kick if that doesn’t happen stuck in 3/4 gear shut truck off wait few seconds and start usually ok again. If you down shift manually ok as long as you get into 1st before stop. If not it kicks . I WANT A NEW TRANSMISSION. Now I want a new truck it just hit 80,000 IDK IF ILL BUY CHEVY CAUSE THEY STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM AND REFUSE TO RECALL . Oh I’ve changed the fluid and filter 3 times now. And yes used mobile 1 not ac/delco cause it’s not meeting the requirements that mobile is did use ac/delco filter
    • Of course refrain from political debate but I myself have very dismal hope for what is all going on up here every where we turn so I nodded my head when I saw this joke.
    • I'm looking at carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and lumbar fusion.
    • While waiting for parts I have been working on installing the AC compressor, new accumulator, and orifice tube. Also changed out the high side ball valve (original). The orifice tube that was in there wasn't too bad. Slightly dirty, a little bit of junk, but not blocked. Glad I changed it out.   The accumulator, which should have been a 5 minute job, may have just burned $50. Put some PAG in it, wrote the date and mileage on the side, fresh o-rings and gooey'd up the threads and rings with Nylog. Got everything connected and snugged and was going to vacuum down the system, and....   My manifold gauge won't fit on the port. It's not an R12 service port. It LOOKS like an R134 service port but the diameter is a hair too large. There's a sticker on the accumulator that says it's designed to be used with R12 and R134a systems only. So it's not R1234yf. Even if I reduced the diameter slightly with a file, the shoulder on the port is too large so the quick-connect valve won't lock on. I'm stumped. It's going back, and 50/50 on if they'll give me a refund.   Also, I did a fuel pressure test.... Key on, the gauge spikes to about 60psi and quickly bleeds off, like 2psi per second. The fuel isn't going into the plenum, no smell, starts fine, so I'm guessing there's a bad check valve in the pump and the fuel is just draining back into the tank. oh, hell. But, it shouldn't be a problem, pump primes just fine and the truck starts right up. It just means I can't really ever use fuel pressure to verify a leak at the injector or intake.
    • Got this yesterday out of nowhere. Truck is a 25',6.6 gasser with 8k miles.  Only semi anomaly is that the truck had been sitting, uncranked for 6 days. Elec Stability Control showed immediately upon cranking, not while driving. No drivability issues, just the message. Battery didn't seem to be weak when cranking over.  I drove it, killed it, let it sit a few hrs with no avail.  Truck is 100% stock. No damage.
