I decided to downsize a bit, after getting up to 4 vehicles.

I traded my 2022 Silverado 2500 LT All Star for a 2500 High Country Duramax, also traded my convertible.

Trying to lower my costs, insurance, registration and maintenance costs.

I love the new features and how much the High Country is a step up from my LT.

It reminds me of my past Sierra 1500 Denali which I was really happy with.

Liking the all around cameras, and all of the safety features that I missed on my past Denali. Also the Bose speakers.
Came with the gooseneck, trailering cameras, Z71, Multi-Flex, moon roof, dual alternators, and max trailering.

It was missing all of the dealer installed options, Dark Essentials package and 20” high gloss wheels, that are listed as dealer installed, where I will need to bring the truck back to the dealer to get. Dealer is aware and waiting on next steps.

I was hoping to get the HD rear viewer mirror, which was not included. Anyway to add after the fact?

Not too sure if it can be added,  but I have it on mine and don't really use it, thought it would be really cool but idk, just don't really need to see behind me any better than the standard mirror already does.....

Nice.

99% they are waiting on the bowties for the Dark Essentials.  We've moved 4 trucks the last couple weeks and same thing, no bowties.  Your dealer's parts department should be able to contact their ADI and they typically can release all the items except the backordered ones seeing as the dealer delivered the truck (wheels, floor mats, anything that is "dealer installed" that they have that they can send).  The ADI probably needs a day or two to get the wheels ready if they haven't yet.

The mirror, I assume you are talking the camera mirror the one you can flip and it changes to a camera?  You'd need a new CHMSL with the proper camera in it but then, getting GM to authorize a reprogram of the vehicle image processing module is unlikely.  Also, the 2024 HDs are now on the new GM VIP (GM Global B) electrical platform.  As it stands things that could be added on the 2020-2023 HD can't be done on the 2024s so like for instance on the WT and Custom, you can't add steering wheel controls after the fact like you could on the 2020-2023 trucks.

Very nice......Sweet truck. Pics?

I have a 1500 High Country and absolutely love it.......pretty loaded, got the color I've always wanted along with sweet rims.

The tech package with HD mirror is so nice......was weird at first but is so nice especially if you have the cab loaded with stuff, you can still see just like normal.

All the cameras are insane on these trucks......especially when trailering.

Enjoy your new truck.....

Thanks, I do love the new truck. Got the wheels installed yesterday. The dealer will let me know when the dark essentials package gets in.

I was able to also migrate the BakFlip bed cover over and kept the Weathertech HP floor liners that were on my 2022 LT.

Thanks, I love the color too. Came with the dark essentials package and thinking that I kind of like the chrome badging and standard gold bowties more. May just get the kit and hold off on getting it installed.

Thinking about doing a ceramic coating. Had all of the gear that I was going to use on my convertible that I had traded.

Not sure what mirror you are talking about as there are two kinds out there.  First one flips down and the full mirror is a screen and basically is a real time of whats behind you coming from the tailgate,  wife has this on her acadia,  its nice in a way but is also distracting and kind of can get you sick if you look at it

The second one which I had on my 21 2500 was button and showed the bed in a square on one side of the mirror.  Honestly it sucked,  only stayed on for like 8 seconds and didnt work at all at night.

Adding options like this used to be easy 10 years ago, as the plugs were there,  you bought the item plugged it in and off you went.  Manufactures got smart,  while the plug is probably still there, you can just plug it in anymore.  Chances are the dealer will activate that feature which many charge for, if they even do it or can do it.

At the time was trying to get the features installed after the fact from the technology package, that was similar to my past Denali 1500. Being the rear camera mirror and HUD.

But at this point, do not feel the need anymore.

Agree, the chrome does not bother me at all. Not much into the midnight package look or the red and black look that came on my 2012 Nissan Titan from a long time back.
