2024 AT4 Clunk

I have a clunk that has recently shown up mainly when turning and going over uneven road grades. Not sure where its coming from. Thought it was the tool box in the truck but eliminated that possibility by removing it. I got into the  bed of the truck and bouncing and shaking the truck recreates it somewhat. Still no idea where its coming from. I have 4200miles on the truck and its only been happening for about the last 1000 miles. Anyone else dealt with this?

Do you have the appropriate torque number for the leaf springs?

Yes, I’ve asked about this in the past. Any idea on torque specs and procedure?

 

Ive had this and it’s not outrageous but it’s there. Coming out of driveway, back in driveway, going over slow uneven ground etc. 

 

It seems to come from the rear ends of the leaves and those plastic friction discs are not adequate. 
 

and by torque the leaf springs are you only talking about the four U bolts or also the small retaining ones near the ends? 
 

I’ve been just living with it. Will it cause any problems or damage?

You might be hearing the 3rd brake light plastic spoiler popping and making noises. Mine makes noise and my previous GMC 1500 did the same.

Torque is 100 Nm plus 180 degrees.  If that does not work, you may need to replace the tip inserts (plastic inserts).

So 74 ft/lbs plus 180deg. Does it say whether that is loaded weight or unloaded as in jacked up with wheels off the ground?

I retightened the ubolts and put some grease in the front pads and it's still there. My truck has 150 miles. Also the ads on this forum are out of control. Can't believe people participate in it. I've seen scam sites with less ads. I had to get rid of 15 ads just to type this.

I have an ad blocker and never see any ads. I use the free version of AdBlock Plus. I’m sure others work well too.

I use what another jr said. I don’t get a single ad.
