Reliable is my #1 concern.

What are you doing to your transmission?  The trans is another concern I have about the Ford, they use a plastic pan that I am not fond of.

I am not fond on any transmission pan that doesn't have a drain...including these GM trucks.

Completely agree.  I believe there are aftermarket pans with drain plugs but I haven't looked into that yet.

Good point.  I believe GM still does?  I looked under the Ford I test drove and didn't see a single zerk.

There are 9 under the 2500/3500

I’m going to install a drain plug in the pan when I drop it. I did this on my 2018.

I understand to each his own but I find that my HD2500 is much more comfortable for long rides than the F250 company truck that I had for a while.

owned 2020 and 2021 2500 and when I was looking last year for another was considering other brands as well

the only negative for GM in my book is the seat, steering wheel relationship.....IFS is far better than solid axle for imo, I as well don't like sloped windows on Ford nor the bubble hood on Ram

have seen or heard about far fewer issues with GM HD trucks than the others and having owned 2 very recent never had oil issue nor leaking cab.....not a fan of sealed tranny though

the bed of the truck is more useful..better payload and its bigger, deeper and has 3 tie downs in every corner and bed steps all the way around in all 4 corners

like the Mirrors on GM, they work very well

my only gripe is the seating position ( I am 6ft tall) and the seat, which I fixed with risers and a cushion (for softer seat)...I do prefer the GMC hood over the Chevy but availability for gas motor wasnt easy to find aside from WT at that specific time....

AUTO 4WD was a big plus and lets be honest, you absolutley have to like the look of your truck and GM wins easily for me in either GMC or Chevy

Yes I forgot how much I love the three tie downs in the corners and steps all around

I even used some of my gm points when I bought the truck to add a few of those tie downs gm sells to add to the center. I use though too

I bought and installed them in my 2015. When I sold it I removed them and put them in my 2021. They are quite handy.
