03msc Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 So both of the remotes for my '15 Silverado are showing their age. What is a reliable source for getting replacements? Googling comes up with all kinds of results. What are reliable online sources for ordering? Any you've ordered and they turned out to be poor quality or non-functioning?
rusty503 Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 Actually you don't have to replace the remote. You can just change the shell. Open the old one and swap the internal card and battery (might as well replace the battery for a new one while at it) to the new shell. That way there is no reprogramming required. 1
CamGTP Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 Ebay. I buy all of my new cases from ebay. For $20 or $30 I get another 5+ years or so from the new cases. 2
UrbanRage Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 I bought one from ATJ about 4 years ago and have ZERO regrets. https://www.ajtdesign-llc.com/online-store/V1-Fob-Case-c148197312 2
MikeBMW Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 I prefer the boostauto fob. My first one lasted four years before I noticed just a bit of wear on the buttons, probably not enough to replace it, but, heck, I really like to have items as perfect as I can get them: https://boostautoparts.com/products/2020-fob-1418?options=option1=With Remote Start - [Replaces FCC ID M3N-32337100]&year=2017&make=Chevy&model=Silverado 1500 1
