High winds - powers out

Finally getting chance to use my new generator today. High winds here in Philadelphia is taking down a lot of branches. Buying a generator almost assures that the power will never ever go out again, kinda like buying a snowblower and having to wait years before the big one! But saving a fridge full of food alone is worth the price of admission. YIPPEE and I can still trapse around the net telling everyone about it!

So since I don't have a generator, my power will go out a few times this year probably.

 

Then I will gripe about the noise my neighbors generators make, disturbing the peace and quiet, all for the sake of them watching their big screen tv's and eating bon-bons.

 

Sucks to be me.

My neighbor and I split a big one when the power goes out.

 

While the rest of the neighborhood is b***ching about the heat (or cold)... We've got the HVAC on, all five fridges running, and the Xbox fired up.

 

 

Yup...People come hang out at our houses.

The folks have one that belonged to my uncle out in their garage. I have yet to fire it up or test it out.
