Old Topic, I know, but i'm curious, has anyone recieved their covers from GM yet? I just had mine installed yesterday and they don't look half bad...pretty pleased with them...I'll post pics later this evening if anyone is interested.

I would like to see them.

I like them...I don’t know if they are the same one’s off of newer models that also collect lint. But so far, it’s been okay. The insert is different and does not collect lint but I can see how the outer portions could potentially collect. But overall, I can’t complain as it was an improvement from what I had before.

Aren't the inserts in the middle like a plastic y material not nearly as soft as the original. Reminds me of the old old trucks my dad used to have. I had my front seats done when the first tsb came around. They didn't do the back seats so i had two covers in my truck got tired of it not matching with no resolution in sight so i had them switch it back to the original. Now i am back with the lint but don't want to go to the, to me, cheaper insert in the middle seats.

thats kind of where I am at. I think the new covers look and feel loke a downgrade to the covers i have now. Like you said its just the middle area of the seat.

I have these seat covers in my recently new truck. Ebony interior. There were a few pieces of lint stuck to the sides of the seats when I bought the truck. But, after two months of driving; I've had no problems with lint. The side material is definitely the type of material that a lint brush can rolled over and I will probably do that from time to time just because it is. I haven't needed to yet. I find the seats to be comfortable and have no complaints with them. Unfortunately, it sounds like some of you fellas had some real lint buckets.

I should have mine today; I'm not holding my breath or anything though. I’ve seen the seat covers and I think they look nice. But for all the hassles with the service department they had better be done right or I just might come unglued.

I think the new ones look much worse but not attracting lint is a big step up. I've already got the coverking neoprene covers on the front, but I might go ahead and get them replaced sometime so that the backseats are good too. I still wish GM had a better fix though, this is a half ass fix.

I wonder if they would have a problem of me keeping my current lint traps for a couple of years then right before the warranty is up having them swapped out. Then I would have seats that look new. Put the wear and tear on these for a while then get them swapped.

I get my covers installed tomorrow. They are the same looking covers that I have already. we will see if they hold or shed the lint. If they hold the lint I'll see what my next step is.
