I really don't like the cheap fake wood inserts in my dash......and like them even less now that I have seen this interior.

Do the fake wood inserts just pop off or are they stuck on?

Anybody swapped them out to a brushed aluminum look?

If so what kind of $$$ are we talking to do it?

You might try offering yours for trade on the Avalanche/Tahoe forums. My guess is a lot of those guys would like to have the fake wood insert to make their trucks look like the higher up models. Maybe someone would be willing to do a straight swap. Just a thought.

As well, if you're willing to search up the part numbers, you can get the actual OEM brushed aluminum inserts that are in that link from a GM parts dealer.

The A/T Sierra is definitely more upscale than a regular one; the way it's equipped you're basically getting the equivalent of a 4x4 Denali, albeit with a smaller motor.

No...both my Mom's and my Avalanche LS's have the brushed aluminum dash. It's the basic version of the AV, and the more expensive versions have the fake wood.
