Trucks Are Still #1

I know around here I've seen lots and lots of GMT900s on the streets and I know my dealer has been selling a lot of trucks.

I don't understand the love for the camry. It's a solid car but there are so many others that are more comfortable and more fun to drive.

Lots of new pickups in these parts though.

+1

My wife's 04 Impala rides MUCH nicer than a Camry, has more power and is more comfy.

Great cars, but SOOO generic and ugly! My family has always bought Hondas, and they are actually built to be more than just appliances for emotion-less robots. The new Malibu is quite nice, too. It definitely beats the Camry, in my book.

The media seems to think that sales of trucks and SUVs are nonexistent since the rise of fuel prices. Haha, think again, idiots! Look at the statistics, why don't you?

+100. Pretty sure the GMT900s outnumber the GMT800s around here now...if not, its pretty close. Plus every rich kid in high school (and college) has a brand new Chevy/GMC. Damn oil town/old money.

Because a whole lot of the population sees their car as a solution to the problem of getting from point A to point B. "Fun" isn't a factor at all. My wife is one of these people. She's got a decently equipped Altima with the 4 cylinder. It's a decent car, but has no appeal at all to me. However...Driving it is like breathing...You just get in it and go without thought. Everything works as it should, ergonomics are spot on, everything is intuitive, etc. Then there's the convenience factor...The back seat is pretty big, the trunk is HUGE, and that gas needle moves slower than molasses in January.

But it's about as fun as sitting at the dining room table eating a piece of bread in silence.

I think you just described all non-sports cars in general. :bs:

I have to agree.
