Just as an update, my conclusion basically is that of various wipers I've tried Bosh/Michelin/OEM the OEM ones seem to be the best over time. Not sure what the difference is but non-OEM ones quickly do the same thing I noticed in my OEM ones after about a year, they streak on the drivers side under where the arm attaches. If I replace with OEM they seem to be fine. Which is funny because in 35+ years of owning vehicles I've never had one where the OEM wipers were the best option. I almost wonder if there's too much pressure on the wiper at the arm and it's wearing out/fatiguing the wiping edge there faster. Either way seems like it's not a bad idea to have a spare set of OEM wipers and an arm on hand.2 points

I don't know GM is the king of charging more for very little added feature, and forcing you into top packages to get the best feature combos, just look at onStar. I would not be surprised to see something like ultra cruise and the full onstar functionality approach $100 a month, it's already $50 a month to get all the features, and they have so many tiers/options/add-ons that there are less combos on a chinese restaurant menu.2 points

Breakfast. My favorite meal. I hardly ever miss breakfast. If I eat a big breakfast, I'm good until supper. I always have 2 eggs, 2 pics. toast, hashbrowns or fried potatoes. Bacon or sausage is a must. A lot of people would say this is unhealthy but I love it. I can't stand oatmeal or cereal so eggs and bacon it is. Here is my breakfast today.....2 points

The only gold Bowtie on my truck is on the steering wheel airbag. How do I remove it?1 point

Nope, that is for 8 speeds. Use Dexron 6 for a 6L80e. Amsoil makes a transmission fluid that is usable as well.1 point

Yeah man. I feel the exact same way. I have the same issue with my 2015 2500 Silverado WT. So much so that I've replaced the cushion, talked with dealership, and even contacted custom seat manufacturers. I'd say the best remedy is contacting a company called Sheel Mann. They make amazingly comfortable seats and their sales team is extremely helpful. And for the record, everyone in this thread saying comfort is relative, or that is depends on your size, that's BS. These seats are pretty uncomfortable for anyone compared to competitors seats. And for someone with a bad back, they're a nightmare. I'm 28 years old and in very good competitive shape. I'm 6'2" and 190lbs. The biggest issue is that the ergonomics are terribly designed. Your knees should never be above your hips while sitting. And this seat leaves your knees a good half foot above your hips for a guy my height. My hamstrings hurt after half an hour driving in the OEM seats. But the Sheel Mann seats with the customer made seat bracket changed the game for me. Not cheap though! It was the most economical solution for me, but still ran me 2k. Good luck!1 point

With the extended warranty, the dealer should be your first choice, IMO. Also, read the threads about the XM antenna replacement.1 point

I replaced the shark fin for about $60 and used a little silicone on the bottom of the gasket be careful not to trap any moisture in there. I let mine dry in the sun for an hour or so. Yes there was moisture that started causing wacky screen activity. good luck1 point

Search "flip the pill" A bunch of us guys on here have done it. It runs 30-40 degrees cooler. It's free too .1 point

I may be incorrect, but I do believe that this noise you are hearing is the electronic parking brake engaging.1 point

Your 100% correct, I have been through the wiper blade replacement detail with just about all brands out there and the OEM was the best replacement and about the same price maybe a few dollars more as the others but OEM blades are cheaper in the long run. I can get about 1.5 to 2 years out of OEM blades where the others ill get about 6-8 months out of the aftermarket blades no matter what brand. Also the aftermarket blades you will get that flip flop sound when the wipers change direction, OEM you cant hear them.1 point

Well, I cleaned that ground and that still didn't do it either. I really am out of ideas at this point. See if the dealer can find anything Wednesday.1 point

X2 on the tail lights. OE LTZ would look much better than those on there now. Those Klearz seem interesting as well. Otherwise, truck looks good the way it is. Sometimes less is more.1 point

If Super Cruise is $25 a month, I wonder what the subscription price for Ultra Cruise will be?1 point

Ditch those cheap ass tail lights. Upgrade to the LTZ headlights. Get some Klearz for the LTZ headlights too1 point

I went down to the dealer in late June and waited and waited and waited. GM accepted the order last week.1 point

I used fluid film for two years on my 2018, never an issue with the factory wax. In fact i think it was the only thing keeping it supple and preventing it from drying out. I find that's the biggest issue with that frame wax, it dries out then falls right off.1 point

unplug the door harness and look for corrosion in the plug , if the connections are clean then you are going to have to pull the door harness out and look for broken wires1 point

You are the man, newdude. I know this thread is pretty old now, thank you so much for following up. I ironically have an appt next Wednesday at the dealer, so I will clean that ground this weekend and report back. Are you a gm tech? You seem extremely knowledgeable. Thanks again.1 point

Plain water and a micro fiber towel. I've found many cleaning products seem to leave everything streaky and looking worse than I started.1 point

Hmmmm. Not to tell anyone how to drive or anything...... The idea of needing to switch into 4x4 because otherwise you would loose traction to the rear end in your heavy throttle take off seems absurd. I've owned my 6.2 for almost a year. Have never had to even consider loss of traction when pulling out into traffic. Maybe wait and let that car pass then pull out when you have more time. Because of your set up you may have time to avoid a collision, but does the driver of the car you pulled out in front of know that? Consider the effect your action has on that driver. Flame on...1 point

"You're" not, that would require a turbo or supercharger. A chicom plastic box with a "filter" that lets all kinds of filth enter the engine ain't gonna cut it.1 point

6 speed. Service history I typically followed the recommended 2016 silverado schedule. Oil changed every 3,000 miles and tires rotated - air and cabin filter was changed about every other oil change. Changed the brake and transmission fluid at 46,000.1 point

Finally got my hands on one of these and in my driveway! There is lots of misinformation out there when calling around dealerships... but for the record these are definitely beginning to hit dealer lots. The larger dealers will likely have more inside scoop and designated allotments from the manufacturer. Be prepared to pay sticker. I've communicated with tons of dealers across the nation to get a feel for what expected pricing was going to be, all but one would not budge off MSRP. And we currently have absolutely no leverage to really negotiate because you can't really threaten with shopping the next dealer down the highway because there were only a few in all of Dallas. I had to drive to Houston to find this one with everything I wanted. Alot of these are arriving on lots pre-purchased. I lost out on a couple of other deals because they were being snatched up a day or 2 after arriving and I was dragging my feet. Alot of dealers told me I was getting a good deal because lots of other competitors had markups on their 2021's... I didn't find a single dealer attempting to get over msrp so absolutely DO NOT believe this nor agree to anything over sticker. She's fully loaded with the Denali Premium Package, Rear Seat Screens, Max Trailering, and the Illumination Package. Window sticker attached. There are currently ZERO factory incentives on this thing either with rebates or financing. I was able to get a really great rate however through GMC Financial but it was not due to any official promotion. Dealers are allowing test drives on these so try and search Cars.com for something close and go check it out. Be aware, 80-90% of the listings on Cars.com are either still being built or in transit. You will have to contact dealers to actually get an idea of whats on the lot. Car looks amazing in person, GMC hit the styling spot on with this one. Interior is a huge step up from previous. Truck rides like a dream with the new IRS. Tons of space inside with pretty solid fit and finish. The 6.2 pulls like a freight train of course. The drive back from Houston to Dallas (aprx 300 miles) chewed through 3/4 of a tank. Premium gas only is recommended. MPG was pretty disappointing at around 15 mpg. We were booking it back home at a pretty good rate of speed so the heavy right foot definitely attributed. Overall couldn't be happier with the purchase so far. She's a bit dirty after getting rained on and hasn't had her first detail yet. More updates/pics to come. I know info is really limited on these so ask any questions!1 point

Looks like I'm a couple years late to this topic as well. I'm really enjoying seeing some of these setups. I have a 2015 Sierra with a Road Armor Pre-runner front bumper (some nice gentleman I never met before bought this for me a couple months after getting the truck in 2018). I installed Rigid J583 LED fog lights that are, according to my wife, well worth the $200, KC Hi-Lights driving lights, and upgraded the headlights to Diode Dynamics along with their reverse lights. New 4" BDS lift with Fuel 18x9 Shok 664, and 33x12.5 BFG ATs going on in a 1.5 weeks. Will post pics when done.1 point

Can you explain how you tapped into the dome light? This is a nice idea I've seen it done before but nobody ever really explains how they bring in the lines and hook it up. Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk1 point

In for this. I know this has got to be a major PITA to develop a solution for, but consider me one of the first in line if it can be made to work.1 point

last year had a 2019 bummer in the shop, caliper siezed, quoted all new front brakes and both calipers, 6k, 4500 was our cost in just parts.0 points
