Sill Plates

What are you guys with GMT-900's using as Door Sill Plate Protection? I never put any Sil Plates on my 07 as it was White and you didn't notice little scratches and such, however with the Carbon Black I seem to notice them more from getting in and out, and wanted to know what kind of options I had. If anyone has any input, pics, etc that would be great!

Ryan,

Thanks for the Pictures. I actually should have said "Protection for the Rocker Panel" the part I am having trouble with is the painted surface which is what you foot hits, before the actually sil plate.

Travis,You can use either the GM accessory ones, which are polished stainless steel,or do what I did and get a set of Auto Ventshade brand (AVS) for a reg.cab GMT800 truck (They don't make them specifically for the GMT900's)

I'll email you some pics over.

Or you could get some clear 3-M Vinyl

This is what I did. I owned a Trailblazer SS before my truck, and while I owned it the dealer put on some 3M paint protection ("clear bra") that GM issued for the rocker panels to prevent paint chips. They ended up replacing a couple of the pieces at one point so I have had the extra material sitting in my garage ever since. I just took a couple chunks of it, cut it down to the right size, and put it on the truck to protect the sills from getting scratched up.
